I bout this kit and put it on. The rectifier caught fire and the bike died immediately, So I bought another rectifier. I put that one on and the connector melted. Bike died again. Went on this way for 2 weeks. I changed everything, wrapped the wires with electrical tape, even hard wired them together to bypass the plastic connectors. Still died. Then I thought to myself…. Plastic doesn’t conduct electricity. I took it apart and clipped off the zip ties, put it back together and haven’t had an issue since.Take off the ties

Regulator/Rectifier works as intended, however stator began seeping oil through the wires shortly after the measly 60-day return period was over. Caltric refused my return of the faulty item only 3 months after having purchased it. Unless you want to replace this item in 3 months, do not purchase.
