I got this for my daughter, because she is getting to the age where she wants to have more privacy. She likes this diary. she writes a lot , so she filled it up quickly, because it doesnt have a whole lot of pages, but how many pages does a little girls diary really need. Its a good value.

This is a cute little diary for younger girls, it came just like the picture; the lock was easy to use and functional, and for the price is exactly what we were looking for.

The diary is the right size for a 9 year old girl. It has a lock that is pretty easy to open but don't forget the code. The nice thing is that there is no key to lose. The diary is squishy so you could chuck it at someone's head and they probably wouldn't die. Joking aside, it's a fairly cheap diary but will be fine for the average girl who will write in it a few times and probably never pick it up again. If you want something more durable, I'd recommend looking elsewhere, but if the price is right, then this is a fun gift.

This adorable diary/journal came with a super cute pen & instructions on how to set the lock. It's 'puffy.. or squishy' on the outside & feels neat/soft. I gave 4 stars because the design/writing is fuzzy and not clear on the top of the book. I do like that the outer cover comes off, if you wanted to use a different journal of the same size you absolutely could. All in all this is a cute gift for the recommended age group.
