I ordered this chain to replace the aging chain on my 12 speed Deore drivetrain on the mountain bike. The description claimed that it was compatible, so I was interested in trying it out. So far, I've found that it's been working pretty well. It was no different than other chains to resize and install. The golden color really pops on the bike and the hollow links do appear to make the chain lighter. I will have to see how well this chain holds up over time. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the performance for now.

This Bucklos chain gets the job done, and for the price, it’s a decent option if you’re not trying to squeeze every last watt out of your drivetrain. It shifts well enough, but if you’ve ever ridden a top-tier Shimano or SRAM chain, you’ll feel the difference... this one doesn’t quite have that buttery-smooth glide. Install is easy with the quick link, and the weight is competitive with more expensive options. It’s a fine choice for budget-conscious riders, but if you live for crisp, snappy shifts, you might find yourself wishing for an upgrade.

I got this chain to replace the stock 15+ year old chain on my daily rider. I had never replaced a chain before and the most challenging aspect was definitely getting the old chain off. Note: I did not have a chain breaker tool but soon discovered it was essential, not just for removing the old chain, but for customizing the length of the new chain. To explain, my original chain did not, as far as I could tell, have a quick link (the kind that snaps together) so the best way to remove it was to pop out one of the rivets that holds the links together. Doing so requires a significant amount of force and while I tried to fashion a tool to do this, save yourself the time it took me to realize my homebrewed tool was never going to work and go buy a chain breaker, like I ultimately did. With the right tool the process is fast, simple, and actually quite satisfying.Once the old chain was off I took the opportunity to degrease the cassette and chain ring and all the other various grease and dirt caked parts of the drive train. The next issue I ran into was that the new chain was too long. I don't know how common a situation this is, but looking at the selection of chains designed for 8 speed cassettes, they all appear to be 116 links which I'm guessing the longest you'd need, but definitely not the shortest. My old chain was 108 links so I had to remove 8 links. Thankfully with my newly acquired chain breaker tool this was easily accomplished.Putting the new chain on was as easy as threading it across the front and rear sprockets, through the derailleur, and connecting the two loose ends with the included quick link. I got link pliers along with the chain breaker so I used them to snap together the quick link. You can easily snap it together without link pliers but subsequently removing the quick link may be a bit trickier. I was thankful to have the pliers. So in the end, with the chain and two specialty tools, I found the job well within reach even for a beginner.

I used this to replace a old rusted out chain on a bike we picked up, this worked great and have not had any issues so far.

At first glance, one is used to seeing bike chains that are silver and not gold. So, it seems a bit strange at first when you look at it. However, later on, you start to see it as a distinctive feature compared to other bikes. It draws attention, and your friends comment on it. The chain installed very easily using the quick-connect link. Additionally, you can tell that the construction is solid. I have been using it on my mountain bike, and so far, it works beautifully. With the old chain was already worn out and would skip occasionally. Since I installed the new chain, I have been getting a super smooth ride.

Works well enough not to notice the difference between my stock NX Eagle Chain.Would that be the case if I was running the X01 Eagle Chain - probably not, but I have a lower end NX drivetrain and don't need much more than that for the bike park.Bucklos BC12SL VS NS Eagle in weight?Bucklos BC12SL is lighter by .4 oz OR 11.34 gr OR 175 gr bullet if you reload, so that is welcome. Less weight slinging Up & Down in the bumps & jumps is always better. Is the Bucklos BC12SL worth the $$? VS getting an X01 Eagle Chain @ $4 to $9 more? I'm not so sure. All up to you and what you can get for a price. If the price comes down a little that would be better but?I can recommend the BC12SL.

This is a Bucklos BC11SL 11-speed chain. It's 116 links long and came with a reusable master link. The chain weighs 239 grams with all 116 links. Not quite as light as a KMC SL chain, but impressively light for a chain at this price point. The quality of this chain seems good. Visually, it's very similar to a KMC SL chain. It has hollow pins with machined links and is heavily chamfered to help with shifting.I shortened it to 112 links and installed it on my older Specialized Allez road bike. The chain came lightly oiled so I degreased and lubed it before fitting it to the bike. The master link was really tight to fit but once on, it feels smooth and strong. I suspect it will loosen up with a bit of wear. The chain shifts great and is surprisingly quiet. I didn't have to make any adjustment to the derailleurs after installing it. It just worked. If I didn't know it was an inexpensive chain, I'd assume it was a name brand one based on how it performs and how quiet it is.I haven't ridden the chain much, only about 100 miles, but in that time, it's performed very well. I will update this review in the future as I get more miles on it, and let you all know how long it lasted.
