These are beautiful and the kids love to see what color they're gonna get.I put these in the dishwasher which is probably not the best for them but it doesn't seem to effect them in any way. I also gave a set to my mother for Christmas.

I am really mixed on this one. I wanted a deep spoon and these are almost twice as deep as a regular spoon. They are wider than normal spoons by quite a bit. I am not a big person and I don't have a big mouth and it doesn't scrape my mouth. It fits fine. They are a little rough in places but nothing that will cut you. They are not a cheap weight really. They are not an expensive weight either. I have both and these are in the middle. The part I don't like is how narrow the handle is right where they join the scoop part to the handle. It is reinforced in most of the skinny part by being thicker but one small part isn't. It doesn't feel like it will bend easily. People say you shouldn't scoop ice cream with them. I personally use a fork to get it out of the carton. My problem is that very narrow section is very inviting for a child to want to bend the spoon. It screams, "bend me!". So even if it is reinforced mostly, it does have a weak spot. Even if it feels strong like it won't bend under normal use, my 12 year old is going to have to fight the urge to bend. I already had the talk but I will still worry. I found better spoons but they are $2 a spoon. I will settle with these. If you want it to last forever, maybe spend $2 a spoon. If you want them to hopefully make it 6 years until the child graduates, these should be fine after you have the talk. If you don't have kids and you want a deep spoon that won't break the bank and will not feel super cheap, these are great. They do feel strong. Wash them before using. They have a polish on them.

ABOUT THE SPOONS THEMSELVES• These spoons are a perfect weight and well balanced• All edges are smooth and the finish is beautiful.• The shape will blend well with just about any style of flatware• At first I was going to order the stainless steel color to match the rest of my flatware but in the end I decided to have a little fun and order the rainbow set and I’m really enjoying them.• The curve of the handle perfectly stabilized the spoon in a wide variety of bowls. The picture shows how they fit in 4 different Corelle bowls. I’m using the 12, 18, and 28 ounce bowls as well as the 16 ounce pasta/stew bowlWHY DO WE WANT THESE ROUND AND DEEP SPOONSMy dad was a chef and he believed that no set of flatware is complete without a set of broth spoons. These days most sets don’t have them and mine was no exception. I moved out 50 years ago and I finally ordered these. I’d forgotten what I was missing.I’m using them for cereal, stews, soups, and ramen so far, and as a spoon for twirling pasta in the traditional Mediterranean manner.For those of you who are wondering about the generous size of the bowl; you’re not meant to put the whole spoon in your mouth, but should eat from the side and tip it about half way into your mouth.The deep bowl is designed to contain the liquid without sloshing and lift larger pieces from the soup or stew in a controlled manner to your mouth. I’ll admit that I had to get used to it again but I’m glad I did. It really elevates the enjoyment of certain foods.
