This body cam works great. For such an inexpensive device, the quality is surprisingly good. It's well-built, and looks like it'll hold up to at least a light misting. The buttons, USB, and SD card slot are protected well, but there's no O-ring to properly seal the device itself, so it's not going to hold up to a hard rain. The picture quality is high resolution, but it's grainy. And, low light performance is poor, but it's complimented by an IR emitter which can be set to automatically engage. This provides some decent short range footage. The included clip works great. It can be attached to a shirt pocket without damaging the material. Plus, it can be folded out of way of the screen without having to remove the clip. Recharging is fairly quick at 4.5 watts. There are a large number of options available through a well organized menu, but a couple of the options aren't readable, and blank out when selected. (Perhaps there are too many characters to fit on the screen?)

I suppose the best part about this camera is the price. It's definitely affordable by comparison to other models and would make a particularly nice choice for beginners. As I said above the directions could be written better because they do not provide the clearest of pictures...especially the drawings shown on page 5, one drawing entitled "Style A" and the other "Style B". This is an important page with pertinent info you need to know and it is SO small I needed a magnifying glass to try and read it. I was able to do so but it's not easy. I had to re-read pages many times to understanding what they were saying. Finally, by trial and error, I figured things out. There is also a table on pages 6 & 7 called "Key Description" that correlates to the buttons on the Style A and Style B drawings and tells you what each button does. Make sure to use this because it's quite beneficial.I experimented with the camera to get some test video with limited success at first. When playing back my first few videos the camera seemed to have missed some of what I recorded and I don't really know why. Then after my second little video I received a memory error on the micro SD card that was provided as part of the camera purchase so this may have been my problem. This issue did not go away so I used one of my own micro SD cards I had at home, put it in the camera, and everything has been fine since. All I can say is that my camera must have had a bad micro SD card so I deducted a star for this issue. It's also a little tricky as to where to attach the camera to your clothing if you're not a police officer or someone similar in public service. It definitely doesn't work to attach it to a front pocket on your shirt because it's not designed to do so. When opening up the clip it is designed such that the camera must be attached to the collar on your shirt. This will work to some degree, but it didn't take much for me to pull on the clip and it would come loose and the camera would fall on the floor. I found the best attachment point to be the button hole on the top button of whatever shirt you may be wearing as the clip and camera will stay real secure. Obviously this means you won't be able to button the top button of your shirt. In summary the camera functions as advertised but believe the overall quality could be better.

This body cam is pretty cool and has many features. However, It's definitely made on the cheaper side. It feels pretty plasticky. It doesn't seem like it would hold up to much damage. The battery life is pretty long and uses an SD card for recording.
