My old whirlpool refrigerator was getting way too cold in freezer but staying too warm in the fridge section. All my tests pointed to a bad evaporator fan motor. Looked up part and the part is no longer available........Imagine that. Found this replacement motor that looked liked it would work and found another review that gave details on it. Had to grind some off the bracket to fit the ground and grind a hollow piece protruding on the back but put this motor in with the modifications and now the whole refrigerator works perfect. $20.00 part and a little effort and we are up and running again.

Used it to fix a refrigerator, Defrost timer went out. Changed it out a few months back and has been working great. Easy to install, not hard and had it running again in no time.

Kenmore fridge. The motor will work, but in my case you have to remove the ground rivet so you have to drill it out the rivet or cut the support arm to fit around the ground rivet. The ground can be moved to the housing which is where the original motor has the ground located. The shaft is too thin and the fan blade does not lock in properly. You have to use a very small e clip to lock the fan blade in. The terminals are on the wrong side. You would need to add wire to extend the terminals because the wires in the kenmore i was repairing have no slack. I opted to use a different motor from AMI which required much fewer mods to fit. The motor looks durable, but will require modifications.

I bought the $16 motor in the hope it would save me having to spend $185 on an oem replacement. My original fan had worn bearings and was very noisy. It would not work as a straight swap out but I was able to remove the new bearing caps from my new motor and install them on my original motor and reinstall. It worked perfectly.

This fan works well. The shaft is a little longer than my original(wpw10189703), but it still fits in the space. I had to drill out the rivets on the mounting bracket and install this new fan motor with new rivets. I finally had a project for my rivet tool. Once every ten years or so. You could also use some small bolts or sheet metal screws to hold the bracket together. Some reviews have said this fan it loud, but I think it's fine. I can hear it turn on, but it's not loud

The details on this item were clear enough for me to make a correct purchase for a replacement for my garage fridge. The motor seems quiet and hopefully will be a good replacement for years to come.

Lovely old fridge in the basement had the tell-tale pattern. Ice laden freezer compartment. Warm rest of fridge. No fan turning on when you opened the door and kept it open. Defrosted it, match the details of the make to this part, got it quickly, installed it without too many F-bombs, and hey presto, Freddy Fridge is back in action -- and has been working like a charm for a year or more... NB: Go on line, find a YouTube video about how to do this. It's mostly intuitive, but there are some tricks worth knowing for the hour you spend installing this little fan. Then you can forget them happily!

The part arrived quickly and we were able to install it to replace the refrigerator fan in the freezer compartment that was making a very loud whirling noise. My husband is an engineer, but I think anyone will some ‘handy’ skills could also replace it as it wasn’t very technical. Our fridge is working very quietly now so I am very satisfied with the results.

Fits my Whirlpool WRT318FMDB with the exception of not including a pigtail so i had reuse my old motors wiring harness to make it work. So it's not a 100% direct fitment but that little detail was ultimately my responsibility as it was accurately portrayed in the picture as having spade terminals. It's quiet running, my refrigerator blows cold air again if the motor dies prematurely i will update this review.

The part numbers I needed were not shown but the fan looked the same (one version had the electrical contacts on the opposite side). It installed easily with no problems and has been working for weeks now
