Our African Grey loves to chew on this toy, and it looks like it will last for a while. The chain seems somwhat lightweight, so we reused a carabiner from a previous toy to attach this toy to his cage.

This does not have a solid ring as the core. It is flimsy, flexible wire that my cockatoo would easily destroy and cause mayhem with. Absolut trash. I wouldn't trust it for a parakeet

The rope slips when they try to sit on it. Needs probably a good 5 or 6 more ropes on the he ring to keep it from slipping.

Its colorful, but there are not enough rope/material pieces going around the metal ring. After about a week, the rope/material pieces broke down and moved down the ring exposing 2 to 3" of the metal ring that the rope/material pieces are attached to. There should be more pieces tied closer and tighter together. The old one we had in his cage never did that even after 7 years.But other than that, we like it.
