Throws strings, uses a lot of gas. Hard to start after running and try to restart. Not my choice

I'm 73 years old and have owned both DR and ECHO walk behind 22" string trimmers with B&S engines. Both engines were hard to start and gave up after about 2 years, and the overall trimmer design was heavy / hard to push for an old man. Upon receiving and assembling the BILT HARD trimmer, it started on the 3rd pull and I find it much easier to push / maneuver through very tall and tough weeds. It cuts heavy growth with ease. I hope the engine lasts longer than the B&S did.

The trimmer worked well but after about 15 minutes the belt broke. After several exchanges with the seller we have still not received a replacement belt. We are left with an expensive useless piece of equipment.

Handles thorny Acacias, wood greases, thick weeds and small woody underbrush. Avoid Sawgrass like the plaque, though. A masterfully designed and lightweight enough for just about anyone to use. Highly recommended and well worth the money. Easy to use, fuel efficient to the extreme. Easy to change the heavy duty, long lasting string.

this srting mower took care of 4 foot wild grass this last summer . It starts just as the manual advises..to prime then about the 3rd pull it starts... the pull string ,, I thought was too long...but very easy to handle and maneuver. It's about as load as my Toro gas mower. The small tank does not hold a lot of gas,,so refilling is necessary if you have a large yard. I bought it on sale. I've only used it one season,, but It definitely did the job , I got it for.
