Product Description

100% Authentic Oregon Black Raspberry Powder

Black Raspberries Pack a Powerful Punch

Black raspberries are an All American superfruit full of antioxidant polyphenols and anthocyanins to help you stay healthy.* BerriHealth has been carefully crafting black raspberry products for over 7 years for researchers, clinical studies, and also directly for customers. Each bag of powder is made from about 500 whole black raspberries, grown by our partner family farms in Oregon, and has no added sugars, flavors, or preservatives. Our black raspberry powder is:

  • Great-tasting.
  • Low in sugar and high in fiber compared to other berries.
  • One of the most studied, nutrient-rich berries in the world.
  • A very concentrated source of flavonoids like anthocyanins and quercetin.
  • A source of other polyphenols like ellagic acid.
  • Vegan, NON-GMO, Gluten Free, and Tested Pesticide Free.

BerriHealth Means Authentic “Rubus Occidentalis” Black Raspberries.

We stand behind our black raspberries because we are involved in every step. This picture of black raspberries? We took it ourselves, on our partner farm, right before harvest. These same berries go into our black raspberry powder. With all the issues with supplements these days, you will always know where our berries come from, and that they are genuine black raspberries.

Our partner farm has been ecologically farming black raspberries for over 70 years, up on a plateau next to the beautiful Columbia Gorge here in Oregon. They work with local government sustainability programs to study everything from native Oregon bees to keeping healthy soil conditions.

Our freeze-dried black raspberries have been used in clinical trials at multiple top research universities here in the United States. Our berries are used because of their high quality and levels of beneficial nutrients, as well as our strict approach to quality control and product testing.

Because of this commitment to quality, our black raspberry powder is the best on the planet. You can see and taste the difference.

Here are just a few ways to add healthy black raspberries to your day:

Healthy Smoothie Boost

Our black raspberry powder makes for a great addition to any smoothies, like this one with purple kale, dates, and banana. Because black raspberries are so rich in anthocyanins, they will give any smoothie a rich purple color.

Black Raspberry Tea

With our black raspberry powder, you can easily stir in a serving into your tea for a delicious berry flavor. We love adding it to green or black tea for even more antioxidant goodness.

Be Creative!

Our black raspberry powder can be quickly mixed into drinks, smoothies, oatmeal, or cereal; but the possibilities don’t end there. Sprinkle some on a salad, mix into a savory sauce, or even try out some homemade black raspberry popsicles.

This black raspberry powder is delicious, soft and powdery and as dark as the berries are. I admit I went to another cheaper brand but it's not good at all so I'll be ordering this again. I've learned my lesson and will be buying this brand from now on. I wish it was cheaper but won't get a cheaper imitation again.

Expensive product but worth it in a world full of processed foods that poison us.

I live in a region where fresh and frozen black raspberries are not available. I wanted to make black raspberry ice cream, inspired by the Friendly’s flavor. This worked perfectly. 2 tablespoons was the equivalent to about 2.5 cups of black raspberries. My husband had never had this flavor, so he was blown away. It is such a unique, rich flavor…almost chocolatey. The down-side is that this powder is crazy expensive, so this will be a rare treat.

I’ve been happily using Berrihealth black raspberry powder for years, after reading about a clinical trial that showed people who eat a lot of anthocyanins — present in black raspberries and other fruits and vegetables — have a lower incidence of colon cancer. The researchers used the Berrihealth product in their clinical trials.I love to eat the black raspberry powder mixed in with banana slices and greek yogurt. It’s also delicious in protein shakes. One Amazon reviewer knocked off a star because this product is pricey, but I think that was unfair. Black raspberries are expensive — organic even more so — so it makes sense that this carefully grown and processed dried extract is also expensive.

Without a doubt, this is a quality product. We've been buying a variety of berry powders from different vendors (raspberry, maqui, blueberry, aronia (chokeberry), etc.) and this one is by far the best tasting. Seems quite fresh.Although it is not organic, the company has this to say about it:"We are not certified organic, however, we are firmly committed to providing our customers with black raspberries that are not only of the highest quality and phytonutrient level, but are also tested pesticide free.Because BerriHealth's black raspberries are used in numerous human clinical trials and research projects, we are very careful to make sure that we test our berries for any trace of pesticides or other chemicals. Even if a farm does not use pesticides themselves, there are plenty of potential ways for their crops to be contaminated (a strong wind and spraying at a neighboring farm, for example). Basically, we grow our berries the right way, and then prove it with our testing through an excellent independent lab. BerriHealth also makes sure our berries consistently have high levels of the healthy phytonutrients that our black raspberries are known for worldwide. So all the good stuff is in there year in and year out!BerriHealth's partner, Sturm's Berry Farm, has been ecologically farming black raspberries for over 70 years in the foothills of Mt. Hood in Oregon. They work with local government sustainability programs to study everything from native Oregon bees to keeping healthy soil. They use things like drip irrigation which cuts down on water usage and creates smaller, more flavorful berries during harvest. As well, the Sturms' farm focuses on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) instead of chemicals to control unwanted bugs." --BerriHealth web siteWe dropped a star since the price is extremely high. Just seems a bit expensive for this amount of powder, but at least it is quite good. If we don't purchase it in the future, it is because of an affordability issue.
