A mess kit is supposed to be convenient for camping...This particular set came in a velvet bag. A VELVET BAG. Usually, they come in a mesh bag so that you can wash it and hang it to dry. Oddly, the utensils were actual stainless steel like material. Usually mess kits have everything plastic so that it doesn't rust and/or is easier to clean/transport.

It seems to be a very sturdy set with a very good sized bowl and cup, however if the plate could be an inch larger, it would make the entire thing essentially perfect. Cutlery is stainless steel and a nice weight as well. Good set for car camping, which is what we purchased it for.Why only the 3-stars, then? Both plates sent in the set are BLACK. One was supposed to be GREY. For the price of this (it’s fairly costly for what it is), the pieces should be the correct colour.
