The Beelink S12 and S13 minis are excellent business class desktop computers.I installed Debian Trixie and was up and running in minutes. Everything worked perfectly with zero fiddling.I did some photoshopping with GIMP and it was snappy and responsive. I did some transcoding and it was able to do e decent job but at about 1/5th the speed of a Beelink SER5 Ryzen. The machine was dead quiet the entire time. For under $200 it's a helluva deal. The S series are not gaming PC's or transcoding powerhouses... For that you need one of the SER series. One reviewer complained of a burned chip, and showed a picture of the brown lacquer used to insulate the WiFi antenna leads. Another reviewer said that Linux did not recognize his monitor... All I can say is that there are some unreliable reviewers out there. One complaint I do have is that the Beelink website says the S12 has TWO nvme slots - Well, the current run only have ONE. Also note that the S13, with the N150 CPU is only very slightly faster than the N100 - The difference is negligible. The N100 is noticeably faster than the N5095.

Very good quality and very quiet. The description wasn't clear about the type of SSD drive. In my case, it has an NVME drive. Very good!

I’m using this PC to remotely control laser cutters and 3D printers. The system is nice and small, booted up without issues. I would recommend to take the time to update the system before use. All drivers and windows software was vastly out of date, but as long as you fire up the windows update and the install intel driver update software you can get it going in a couple hours.

This little computer packs a punch despite its small size! I bought it to replace my old Intel NUC mini PC from 2014, which ran well for over a decade. Right out of the box, it impressed me with its speed and performance.I didn’t care about the preinstalled Windows 11—I didn’t even bother setting it up. After confirming it booted fine, I went straight to installing Ubuntu Server. The process was seamless, with no need to hunt for drivers or troubleshoot. After the install, I added the latest Docker engine and easily launched a preconfigured container using Docker Compose. Testing Intel’s iGPU passthrough with my Plex server container was a highlight—it transcodes 1080p video in under a second over WiFi, outpacing a similar mini PC running an AMD Ryzen 7 2825U.The build quality is solid, and it’s so quiet you’d barely know it’s running, even when transcoding and streaming video. It comes with two PCIe slots for M.2 SSDs, leaving room for future storage upgrades, which is a big plus. My only gripe is the built-in NIC, which is limited to 1G. Considering that 2.5G and even 10G NICs are becoming more common and affordable these days, it feels a bit outdated. After receiving this one and having set it up already, I later found a similar model from GMKtec that included a 2.5G NIC. I could return it but I chose to stick with this one to avoid the hassle of returning it.If you’re looking for a fast, compact mini PC, this is a great option. Just keep an eye out for models with a 2.5G NIC if network speed is a priority for you!

Yes you're not going to be playing your favorite AAA first-person shooter at 4K 120Hz, but makes a great low power eco-friendly PC that you can run 24/7 for hosting things like Minecraft, Pal World, etc. servers. Running an idle Pal World server only seems to be pulling about 7.5W, so will only cost you pennies a day. Also makes a fine PC for basic home office stuff like surfing the web, checking email, etc. Again don't expect to render 8K video content on this little guy. Also amazed that it comes with a full-blown version of Windows 11 Pro, but I'm sure it's fully capable of running your favorite flavor of Linux if you so desire.Do the research online if concerned about where this computer was designed/manufactured (China), and be mindful of what network you connect it to and what data you put on it or it has access to. Some online have reported finding malware/spyware installed on some of these mini PCs that was a relatively easy to remove but I would be more concerned about something more nefarious embedded in the hardware or BIOS that would be much harder to detect or remove, Even with a complete OS reinstall.Regardless of the above, I considered the risk acceptable for my home use which seemed to be the general consensus online. In any case I would never use a system like this in my business, and certainly not for anything mission-critical, access to critical infrastructure or with access to sensitive data.

Once it sets up it runs fine. Streams video like a champ===II take this back. Until you see it takes a week of failed attempts at updating Windows, and then it it mRUNS AT 100% CPU when playing movies. All driver upates. these things are trash. They have some GARBAGE about 'send it back to us , and we 'may' refund your money 30 days'. This is a complete fricking RIP OFF

After living with my Beelink S12 Pro for over a week, I have to agree with all of the positive reviews online. Easy set-up, all of the ports you'd need, runs quiet, and performs better with twice the specs of the laptop it's replacing which costs twice as much. Glad I started hearing about Mini PCs and Beelink before I dumped my hard-earned money on another weak, underperforming laptop. For its size and price, this little PC is impressive indeed. Nice job, Beelink!

I needed a Windows 11 computer because Amazon would no longer show movies or play audible books on my old Windows 7 computer, which always did just what I wanted it to do. I hate change, so I don't like Win 11, but the computer is working just fine, especially for one in such a small package and a great price.

For a media player and downloader attached to my 85" LED it's perfect. Super compact and quiet. Has all the connections I needed, Esp the Lan as most laptops don't come with them. WiFi is quick enough too. Win 11 setup quick and works perfectly.Great little machine and major stepup from my aging Asus laptop.

My main computer has been a 12-year-old HP Envy with an Intel i7 processor and a 3 TB hard Drive running Windows 10 64 bit. This has been a reliable machine. I think it came with Windows 8. I upgraded to 10 for free when it first came out. Before moving into this retirement home, I had my wife's computer as a backup but there was no room in here for that.I do all my banking, investments and writing on this machine. My concern is that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 soon, and this computer cannot support Windows 11. I needed a back up that did not take up a lot of space.I read all the reviews on the Beelink MIN S12, and despite the concerns about the lack of support and other issues encountered by some, most of the comments were positive and I ordered it.It arrived quickly and in good shape. Like most, I was impressed by the solid appearance. I had hoped to hang it on the back of a new24 24-inch Samsung Monitor. The included bracket for doing that came with screws that were too short to use on the top holes on the back of the monitor and barely grabbed on the bottom holes. In that position it would be very awkward to reach the “off” button let alone the USB ports. In any case, the supplied HDMI cable was too short (10 inches) to reach the port on the monitor.Despite suggestions to create a “local user” during first start-up with the internet disconnected, I figured most people were not doing that, and honestly, I don't know how to do it and didn't feel like researching it. I plugged in the new monitor, added a dongle for the new wireless keyboard and mouse, and connected wirelessly to my modem. Everything seemed to be copacetic. I jumped through the usual Microsoft hoops getting Windows going. I had no hassle with registration. It seems to be automatic.I downloaded my essential programs without difficulty and set up all my necessary site links. Everything works fine so far. Although the computer comes with 500GB of memory, in a bit of overkill I added a one terabit Crucial SSD. Since this is about the size of a business card, I was able to plug it into the back of the computer and let it dangle off the back out of sight. Since the small cable that came with the Crucial was C at both ends I used a small adapter to attach it. Given the awkwardness of attaching to the remaining two USB ports, I attached a 7-port USB hub to one of them. The only problem I have had has been trying to create a recovery drive, but this was a Windows issue. When I tried to do that, the process locked up with the progress bar showing about 10% done. I ended up with two 64 GB thumb drives with partitions on them that I can only reformat individually. All in all, I am very happy with the purchase. There was a minimum of pain and stress and I ended up with a tidy, small footprint setup.

Automatic Repair Loop and Incorrect Password when Trying to Access Anything in Advanced Options.I have been using this for very few time for over a year, and I have experienced an issue that many people also had too. I was updating some of my drivers from a third-party software that was reliable and restarted my system like usual when it began to send me into an automatic repair loop. I kept restarting it several times to see whether it will change anything and nothing. I tried to go through “Advanced Options” to see whether I could try to go to “Command Prompt” or some of the other options to get around the issue. Every time that I click on these options, it prompts to a message that I need to type in the password for my account to access the option. Essentially, I would always get an incorrect password error every time I typed my password in. I know that I typed the password correctly because I had my password saved in a password manager, looked at the password several times, and the keyboard layout was “US”. I even changed my password for my account and signed in into the Microsoft website with the new password and typed it all correctly. However, when I tried to type in the new password on my laptop, it gave me the incorrect password message again. I restarted once more and got the same results. There’s no way that I kept typing it incorrectly because I looked at it several times and even checked to make sure “caps lock” isn’t on and also “num lock”. Nothing changed from there. I looked on YouTube to find solutions and go through BIOS or whatever to diagnose the issue and either nothing came up, or it failed to detect the issue. I had essentially tried everything and there was an option for “Startup Setting” where I could try to disable something to see whether that was the problem. That option initially wouldn’t require me to use my password to sign in because I had to restart my device to disable a setting, but it would always send me to a black screen for essentially hours. Nothing happened and I had to physically hold down the power button to force shut down the thing again. I really need to find out what could possibly be the issue here.
