While the triangles themselves seem all right, unpack the darn things as soon as you get them. They seem to be a study in excessive packaging and overthinking simple things.The outer bag looks OK, then you open it and realize there are three separate plastic boxes inside. These are tricky to open if you're wearing winter gloves, as you might be while dealing with a wreck or breakdown in foul weather. They're also an extra step to have to deal with while you're on the side of the road but don't have your warning triangles out yet.Then when you get the boxes open, each triangle has yet another plastic bag on it, delaying getting them set up even more, and generating some extra trash.So, open them up, toss the inner wrapper, and toss the box lids. Then you can stuff the boxes back into the outer bag, and after you practice setting up the triangles, just slide them into the boxes and close the bag. Now you can open the velcro on the bag and immediately access your warning triangles.I'd also like some reflective on the other side of each triangle, just in case they get turned accidentally, or are set up wrong during the stress of a roadside incident. I'll probably add some reflector tape at some point.

I picked this up because I’ve had flat tires on the highway, and at night people don’t always notice a stopped car on the shoulder, until it’s a bit too close. These triangles go a long way, literally, to warn drivers. You’re supposed to place the furthest one at 200ft behind the car, then 100ft, then 10ft on a single lane highway. The included vest helps a lot in making you visible while you walk and work around the car.This is not the standard DOT design, but for a private car driver like me it’s completely fine. I’m not a commercial driver, so commercial regulations don’t apply to me. It uses 4 foldout legs, which I prefer over the DOT weighted bar because it’s lighter and more compact. Each triangle comes in its own plastic hard sleeve, which is necessary to keep the components neatly folded and protected. The three sleeves are in turn placed in a fabric container, keeping them together.I placed them in the dark as a test, and I confirm that they are very reflective when exposed to flash lights or car headlights. They don’t seem very durable, but it’s ok because they’re only used in emergencies.

This is an item that everyone should have in their car. If anything were to happen and you had to pull off to the side of the road and stop, it’s so important that people can see your car so they don’t hit it. These warning triangles can be set up around the back and side of your car where oncoming traffic can see that there is a car stopped so they can slow down and/or maneuver around your car.I think it’s very clever how these triangles are designed and packaged. All three triangles fit inside a bag that is just 4” x 4.5” x 17”. It’s easy to tuck into a corner of your trunk and have available for emergencies (the bag has Velcro on one side to stick to the sidewall of your trunk). Inside the bag, the triangles are packaged separately in plastic tubes. You simply open the tube and pull out a triangle.All three blades of the triangle are folded down flat. One is fixed to the metal road stand, and the other two lift up and connect to create the triangle in a matter of seconds. No assembly or screws or anything else is needed. Brilliantly designed! When set up, the triangles are 17” high by 17” wide and have red reflectors on them so they can be seen with car headlights. A bright yellow safety vest (size XL) is also included for you to wear while setting up the triangles. This set is well-made, good quality, and a must-have for commuters and drivers of all kinds!

Probably a good thing to keep in the trunk. Three triangles come each in their own plastic case accessible from the short end. These all fit inside a red fabric bag that has has an opening in the short end and rough velcro on the side to grip the trunk carpet to help them from sliding around. It also comes with a bright yellow emergency vest.They unfold and clip together easily and make, what seems to be, sturdy warning triangles. The bottom bars cross to make a full cross for standing up. The reflective strips are on one side only.I tried to make it less bulky by getting rid of the plastic cases and popping them all just in the bag but ended up adding the cases back in as the triangles are pokey and rough and it didn’t save much space. I thought it might be smaller and quicker access but it would probably end up ripping the bag and the triangles getting broken and bent.Altogether a solid emergency piece of equipment.
