Your cart is empty.Electric Brakes are a valuable alternative to current brake drums. Electric Brakes are the most common braking system installed on trailers. Electronic Brakes require a controller which is installed into the vehicle which allows for electricity to be transmitted correctly to ensure braking happens. There is a magnet located inside of the backing plate which has 2 conductor wires which tape directly into the trailer wiring. When electricity is on, it magnetizes the brake magnet, this magnet is attracted to the drum face, when it contacts this area the friction causes it to rotate which moves the actuating arms which then pushes the shoes out against the drum causing the wheel to stop spinning. The shoes will have a special brake pad material on them that resist the heat caused by the friction. Electric Braking is smooth and jerk less, this is no shock or jerk that can be associated to the e-brakes unlink normal hydraulic brakes. E-brakes are just as fast when compared to generic mechanical friction braking. 1 Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty

Do not buy these brakes the magnetic is garbage $500 is expensive don’t try save money go buy the original Dexter brakes it is expensive but it will save you from getting shut down by state trooper and you won’t crash kill somebody. These brakes shoes do not need to be sold take them off

First, the product itself; I was afraid of these initially, they are almost the same price as 1 oem... After handling both, I can't see the difference. They work well, and we're as expected. I will update if I have issues, however I have put atleast 2k miles on them with 12k of steel on the trailer and they work great.Second, the customer service; I ordered these late on a Thursday, needing them Monday at the latest. Amazon estimated Thursday as delivery. I reached out to the seller. They informed me UPS had already ran (it was 4:30). I offered to pay for expedited shipping. The man I spoke with told me not to worry about it, that he would drop it at UPS after he got off. He followed through and they were at my shop Saturday.

I installed these brakes on my 10k axles last night. The installation was easy and they fit my Dexter brake drums perfectly. I took my trailer out for a drive today and the brakes performed great. The brakes had plenty of stopping power and they felt very solid. These brakes feel very high quality and they are listed for such a good price. The seller shipped the brakes out the day after I ordered them so they arrived very quickly too. 5 Stars. I will definitely be buying these brakes again in the future.

Used to retrofit older AL-KO axle with 5 stud backplate to use newer style brake assembly.Centering lugs on axle and one common hole allowed line up, redrilled 7/16" holes and used 3/8" grade 8 bolts to fasten to axle flange.AL-KO used 3 1/2" wide shoes, these are 3 3/8", however the magnet makes contact with the armature plate on hub and works as it should. The spacing from backplate to shoes and pivot locations is spot on, the shoes simply ride a little shallower from outside face of drum. Ridge will be to armature plate side of drum as opposed to being biased to backplate with normal wear.
