I use this for turning pens in wood, acrylics, stone & bone. With wood, it keeps its edge well. I use a separate one for the harder stuff and it does ok. Will probably purchase a diamond hone to see if I can get more life out the one used for harder materials. I will purchase this again. I do look for the best price & at the time of purchase this seller had the best price.
