Applications: 2003 and 2004 Ford Explorer (V8), 2004 Ford F150, and 2004 Cadillac CS.
The flares on the the cooler lines near the fittings prevent access with the original style disconnect tools. The locking clip used in the fitting is different than the standard 'tabs' used on most other applications. The ASS8021 will clear the flare and disconnect the new style clips with ease.Customer

Had to buy this to replace one from the master kit that wore out. Great product they are durable you have to use them a lot or misuse them to really wear them out or deform them. Easy to use and see. Have a great fit

Worked fine. I like the elastic band that holds the tool in place while in use. A little expensive but it does the job.

I wouldn't been able to get the tran line off with out this tool. It works better than that cheap line tool. I have both aand the cheap tool jst didn't work. Spend the extra money it will make your life easier

This tool worked as advertised. The automatic closing with the elastic band is nicer than the ford version of the tool. It's compact size was helpful as well.Did some research prior to tackling the job and prep was key. My truck only had 140k miles on it, I sprayed each fitting thouroughly with penetrating oil the night before, and 10-15 minutes prior to removal. Each line came out with very little effort and reinstalling the lines was a simple push in until it clicked.This is the correct line size tool for a 2004 F-150 4.6L (non-heritage model)

We tried one from the parts store to remove the transmission cooler lines from our 2006 F-150. The junk broke around the line.We bought this one and it popped it out in literally 3 seconds. Great quality and worth the money even if I don't ever use it again.

This tool was a life saver. Don’t count on the cheap plastic spacers that come with your new radiator. For my 2006 F150, 5.4 Triton radiator replacement, this tool was absolutely mandatory for getting the bottom connector off.The top was easy and came right off. But the bottom picks up so much road debris, solidified/ caked on dirt & develops corrosion that you need a heavier duty tool like this to get your radiator separated.I don’t remember what I paid for this tool, but if it was $18-$23, getting the radiator separated in 10 minutes vs 2 hours was well worth the money.Buy it.

Removed trans cooler lines from radiator of 2005 Expedition.Seems pretty well built.If your lines are rusty at the connection, spray some WD-40 or PB Blaster the night before.
