My daughter has only worn this coat a handful of times and a snap cover has already fallen off. I am requesting a replacement coat.

Giant coat! It runs so big please check size chart. I got a medium for my size 10 daughter and it was so large is like a 12-14.

I am actually really impressed with this Arctix Girls Back Country Jacket! It does run a little long in length, but I expected that since the other items I have for my daughter from the brand also run long. Size wise other than the length is on par with other brands and fits well. The quality is great! It’s super warm and comfortable, and all of the hardware like zippers and buttons are securely on there and seam well made. For the price I find this to be a great deal!

This is an excellent jacket. It’s very insulated, so it protects you from the coldest weather and wind. It’s also water repellent so rain just beads right off of you. There are three exterior pockets, one at the breast and two at the side. The side ones have a zipper and a flap over them. the hood is not detachable. There are also no toggles to tighten the hood up. The exterior zipper is thick and chunky and easy to grab even with gloved hands. Then there is an exterior flap with buttons and Velcro to cover over the zipper. This is one of the nicest worms jackets I’ve ever owned.

This coat has been perfect as a winter coat for my daughter the last few months! It fits her very nicely but seems to run a little on the large size. The coat is well insulated but thin so it’s warm but it isn’t bulky. The colors are so bright and vibrant, and I love the tie dye pattern, it is always very easy to spot her on the playground. There are a good number of pockets and the hood is a good size and stays on her head well. Overall, it’s a comfortable jacket that has been keeping my daughter warm and dry.

I ordered the Arctix Girls Back Country Jacket in blaze purple for my daughter (10) in a size large. The jacket fits nicely- a tiny bit on the larger size, which is fine since she wears sweaters and hoodies underneath it at times. I love how heavy duty this jacket is- it feels heavy and like it will keep my daughter warm during extremely cold weather. What totally perplexed me is how...not durable it is. She tried it on, and the first time she took it off, the velcro ripped straight off from its square on the front of her jacket at the bottom near the zipper. So she has one velcro area that's completely non-functional. I was kneeling in front of her, and she didn't undo it in a rough manner- it just completely came undone. That was extremely disappointing considering the cost of the jacket and how durable it felt. The jacket is still functional, but to lose a piece of velcro on the first usage isn't what I'd expect from a quality coat. There were multiple loose threads that we had to trim as well- again, not a big deal, just unexpected. Other than that, the coat is very warm, cute, a vibrant color, has a nice hood that covers the entire head, and super comfortable.

The Arctix Girls Back Country Jacket is a great value. It has a lot of thoughtful details- the arms have inner sleeves with the thumb hole and adjustable velcro to keep snow out, there is a hidden pocket on the front inside, the pockets on either side are big enough for cold hands and zip as well as have a snap button flap to keep snow out of the zipper. The materials look to be very high quality and durable. The contrasting print on the inside and pocket flaps is a lot of fun. There is reflective piping detail on both the front and the back of the jacket. The coat fit exactly how we expected from the information on size chart. The only thing I'm a little disappointed in is the stitching quality around the zippers- one of the pockets I will have to stitch down the fabric on because the zipper gets caught on the lining and I'm afraid it will get torn, and the front zipper stitching is quite wobbly. No major defects otherwise. We are pretty content with this purchase, and would consider a jacket from Arctix in the future.

Just got this coat today, here are my thoughts…Pros: Got the XL for my daughter, she’s eleven, around 5’4”, 100lbs, and it fits her perfectly; love the cuffs with the thumb holes; love the reflective strip across the back & across the chest; outer shell feels very waterproof; decent amount of insulation - certainly more than my $250 ski jacket, so I think it’ll keep her warm; machine washable; $70 price tag is on point for quality.Cons: VERY sloppy stitching in many places, mostly on the interior of the coat; don’t go through the trouble of using black thread on the Velcro if your line is going to extend into the pink material; wish the hood was detachable; not one single ring or zipper pull upon which to hang a lift ticket 🤔, the zipper pulls are closed, rather than having an open circle at the top. Conclusion: decent coat, wish it was constructed with more care, but these thingsaren’t a dealbreaker at $70.
