Fan only had first and third speed. Was really easy to swap out the wire. It of course solved the problem with all four speeds working correctly now. Was used on a 2005 Chevy Colorado. Seems to be a common problem with an easy fix. Cheap and inexpensive fix to gain all four speeds of the fan motor. Kudos!

It was easy to install on my 2006 Colorado. Before installing this, the fan would only work on level 4. Now all levels work. The install was easy, cut, strip and crimp 4 wires. Just make note of the colours and order before you cut. Plug and play resistor. Installation took about a half hour.

Fixed my blower and now I have all speeds! It was very simple to do and anyone with wire crimper can do it. Just do one wire at a time and you won't mix them up. I also cut the supplied wires short so I left as much of the original harness as possible.

A+Seller. This kit is great. It comes with everything to correctly repair your HVAC blower motor speed control function. The three heat shrink butt connectors are good quality. These connectors are lined with glue that liquifies when heat is applied and creates a 100% seal. My heater started malfunctioning. Turning on and off repeatedly while I was driving. I found that both the speed resister and the plug were damaged from over heating. I've included a couple pictures too.

Exact replacement for the fan motor resistor. This is the second one I have installed for the 08 chevy Colorado. I think they have an issue in the third pin inside the connector. The factory connectors, and probably this one too, seems to have a problem with over heating on pin #3. Either due to a poor connection in the connector or the connector is not rated high enough for the different motor loads. If this one goes out with the same problem as before. I'll solder a wire around the #3 pin on the connector. You can drill a small 3/8 th hole through the connector and route the wire ( # 14 gauge) through and by soldering it one side to the resistor bank just above the plastic and then wire nut the other side.
