Great deep frying. Great quality and so durable. However, its basket with handles is inches lower than the pot. It is complicated to take out when hot to drain food.

Truly I love this pot! It is heavier duty than my other stock pots, which is exactly what I wanted for frying homemade onion rings and French fries etc. It came with a very decent sized basket that holds enough for myself and my husband in one batch. I truly prefer a stove-top fryer as opposed to an electric one. I've had both kinds and honestly I don't plan to ever buy another electric one. This one is easy to use. ( don't over fill it with oil or lard!! ) The basket lifts out fine, I use silicone oven mitts to lift it. The lid fits on nice and snug. I like that because I can save the grease in the pot, on the back of the stove for near-future use ( I use lard it fresh stuff better)I do recommend this for homemade onion rings, French fries, Mozzarella sticks, chicken strips and burritos. Works great!

My wife and I love this pot. It is used several times a week for pastas, and also included a raised basket for steaming veggies. Looks nice, so we never take it off the stove. The wife loves that! I boil eggs with it, a dozen at a time. There's a permanent marker inside showing how much water you've put in. The handles are strong and insulated, never get too hot (DO NOT put in an over, however, only use on stovetop.) We use gas so can't comment on induction use. Easy to clean, thick enough to be strong. This replaced two old "non-stick" pots that had roughed-up coatings. Ugh. What chemicals were we ingesting in our food? This is one of the wisest purchases we've ever made. Buy it; you'll love it and use it forever.

Wow, wow, wow! This pan is awesome! It has a nice weight to it, is a great size-not too big, but not too small- and has measure marks on the inside that I hope you can see in my photos. ANd covered handles on the sides as well as the lid. Plus a nice steam rack! The silicon hot pad and spaghetti fork are welcome add ins that make buying this 6 quart pot a no brainer. It does have a flat top which is evident in the listing. I noticed another review took a star off for that, but you can plainly see what you will be getting. I love it so much I just purchased another to give as a gift. Try it, you'll like it!

This is my go-to pasta pot. It's 6qt, so it's easily wide enough to cook full-length spaghetti, but deep enough to easily cook thicker/wider pastas like bowties and wide, curly noodles. It also works well to cook extra wide noodles like those used in making Lasagna. It's NOT non-stick, so cleaning difficult, burnt on foods may be a problem, I usually cook my Marinara sauce in a ceramic, non-stick skillet or saucepan. I also use this pot for soups and stocks.Note: This pot is not a "clad" (layered metals) type of manufacturing. It is a traditional Stainless Steel (non-magnetic) pot with a welded/soldered magnetic stainless base, making it work on Inductive stovetops. I have a NuWave Inductive stovetop, and this pot works flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this product.

I got it today. Already had walnuts to boil. Honey Walnut Shrimp. Always tedious because boiling till water stays clear takes 5-7 rounds . Boiling empty boil again. This made it so much faster with the basket. Then frying what a great help.Very good weight. Not too heavy definitely not flimsy. Basket I just used paper towels folded to lift. Heat on handle is minimal. Washing was a breeze. Walnuts leave a weird oily skim. No problem.Highly recommend.
