Simple to setup and operate once you become familiar with the menus. Note: except for the printed brand name, this unit is IDENTICAL to the Vello brand ("Shutterboss") which costs exactly twice what this Aodelan unit costs. Two usability comments (same for the Vello brand): 1) The menu functions are printed on the bezel. That makes them unreadable in the dark. That doesn't matter much since you can infer what function is which by the screen display. 2) There is no way to just pause/restart a running program without starting the program all over again.

Took me a while to figure out how to program it, but once I realized I have to hit the "set" button often to program timer mode, its very easy to program. Also hit the "Play" button to run the program instead of the round shutter fire button.I bought this for astrophotography. I love that I can manually shoot several shots on B setting to align the telescope at my target, then switch to the timer mode, and take 20, 30, 50, ... photos for 20 or 30 second each with the programming I have already keyed in. Simply switch to Timer mode, hit the "play" button to start the process, and go back inside for 10-20 minutes while the camera does all the work. No more freezing my a off while standing next to the telescope to get half as many photos. Also the new digital camera does not have the shutter shake the old camera has.

Works with my Canon 90D flawlessly. Very simple to use and setup. I was using it in literally minutes after it arrived. I have used it about 20 times now and every time it has just worked. No issues with this wireless remote timer. I would buy this again and would recommend it.

Works perfectly with a Panasonic DC-GH5 mirrorless camera.Note the included male to male 2.5" cable is tricky, who's details are not in the manual. This cable has a gold connector, which must be plugged into the remote port of your camera, while the silver connector must be plugged into the wireless receiver. If you reverse the cable, the product does not work.Don't ask how I know. You must supply 2 AAA batteries for the handheld transmitter and 2 AAA batteries for the receiver. If you press the handheld shutter button halfway down, it focuses the shot (as noted in your viewfinder), while a full press takes the picture or multiple pictures as desired. It's not waterproof or water resistant should water enter the button holes. It boasts a bunch more features including an Red/Green LED light on transmitter and receiver to indicate what it's doing and is silent should you turn off the beep function.I chose this product based on other reviews and the fact of the handheld remote being smaller than the competition.Great purchase.

I purchased this for a Pentax DSLR. Even though there is an intervalometer function in the Pentax K30, I wanted something with remote control capability - something that would allow me to trigger my camera's shutter from a distance, while also allowing me to see how far along I was in any time-lapse that my camera was shooting. This product fits the bill really well. While I haven't measured off the exact distance of the remote, so far it has worked at distances easily up to 20 - 30 feet without a problem. This particular model says it is suited to Canon cameras but I have often purchased items compatible with Canon because they seem to work well with my Pentax K30. All functions are here: delay time until shooting starts, number of frames to shoot, number of times to repeat shooting frames, bulb mode for long exposures, and a remote that lights up in the dark so that I can read and/or set any of the features that need my attention. The package comes with two different cords (depending on the size of the jack that your camera has) and this fit my camera perfectly. As an added bonus, I recently upgraded to a Fujifilm XT-3 mirrorless camera (which also has a built-in intervalometer) and hooked this AODELAN remote up the XT-3 to test it out. It works perfectly with my camera (actually, it seems like it interfaces with the XT-3 even better than the Pentax). I am very pleased with the product and recommend it to anyone.Do I have any gripes about it? Just one: as others have mentioned the user manual is a bit confusing and doesn't do a great job of explaining how all of the settings work. But, rest assured, you can go to YouTube and find videos on this model (and others that are manufactured just like it) and find the instruction that you need to be up and running in a very short amount of time.
