Your cart is empty. The Active PoE Splitter splits a PoE signal into an 12VDC power and 10/100Mbps ethernet data source.
This device allows you to run ethernet cables from a PoE Switch over long distance, and then split the PoE signal into a separate data signal and 12Vdc power sources in order to run an non-PoE devices.

These get uncomfortably hot. One came non-functional, with a bad RJ45 network connection. When I replaced the connection, it worked OK. So yea, pretty much junk.

I bought this because I need 12V power to my camera, in general it works OK because I tested with my camera indoor for 3 days without problem, but I noticed that it's a bit warm so I don't know if it still works great in summer.

The PoE unit is definitely the most reliable I've had. I've put these on some outdoor Arlo Pro 2 cameras for a few years now without a problem. I like how these are designed to be water proof and inline. I recently bought a new set and tried them on an 18W device (12V@1.5A). While I get both power and data just fine, both units that came in the box squeal constantly. The first one was louder. The quieter one won't be bad in a closet, but it does concern me that the unit's life will most likely be shortened and the squeal is annoying. While I understand that I'm running it right at the top end of the spec, there ought to be a buffer over the specified range so that you can run anywhere on that advertised range without issue. So close, ANVISION. So close.

My high quality exterior camera's POE stopped working and I was about to buy a new $300 unit when I discovered that the auxiliary power dongle for the camera would actually power up the camera. I used one of these units to pull the POE that was on the cable and simply plugged its power output to the camera's power dongle and it works perfectly. Nice low cost solution!

Works great supplying a camera I bought that mistaken for poe. The adapter feels solid and well built. I bought this one because it was one of the slimmer models so it was easier to slip into a hole already cut in a eve.

The adapter worked perfectly. I used it to add a microphone to an existing security camera. It came very quickly and was exactly as described.

I bought this product to use with a wireless outdoor security camera that i also purchased here on Amazon. It had a 12v input and an ethernet connection. Due to there not being a convenient AC outlet near my preferred mounting location, I began to wonder if there were such a product and was pleasantly surprised to find this. It works just like its supposed to. The camera gets plenty of power to support the IR illuminators. Made a $35 camera very easy to deploy. I would totally do this again.
