I put this on the end of a 5’ cord to hook my kayak to a cleat while I climb in and out of it.

Great to add a grab-handle to any bag or knap sack!

1.5 years later, these continue to work great for lifting and maneuvering that heavy 80 pound heavy bag.I've done deadlifts, cleans, shoulder carries, and have dragged, spun, wrestled with it.They have server very well. Will definitely repurchase when it's time to replace (whenever that is, because they still look and feel like when I first got them).ORIGINAL REVIEW---------------------Summary:Looked cheap. Felt cheap. Thought they were going to rip during 1st use. They held up -- went through 1 workout session and still look new. Will update this review in 6mo or sooner, if they rip before then.Full Review:Had an old heavy punching bag that I could no longer hang b/c 2 D-rings ripped off from top. I would sometimes use for ground work (BJJ), but not as much as I thought I would. It's awkward to store and move from storage spot to workout area, so mostly sat there for past couple of yrs.Recently found a couple of heavy duty cargo straps and had the idea of wrapping them around the heavy bag so I could use as a sand bag or sorts. Also would make moving the bag easier. All I needed were handles so strap would rip up my hands. Looked at several options on Amazon, including some made for Jeep rollbars, but none were JUST handles. The few alternatives that I did find had a different orientation so wouldn't be perpendicular to the bag, as I wanted them. After more searching, found these. I could thread straps through the handles... PERFECT.Received the handles yesterday. Immediately tied them to the bag using the cargo straps. The setup:- cargo strips on right against the bag. They have a ratchet motion which allowed me to go very tight (not too tight to where it was significantly pressing into the bag, however).- a lot of extra loose strap left- threaded once and tied knot where exits from handle- circled a small hook and came back around to thread a 2nd time through the handle.- Tied knot on opposite side of handle from previously knot- Wrapped up as much of the loose strap that I couldSturdy setup.- Handles don't slide so should eliminate damage from friction.- Threading strap twice through handle fills it up quite nice so should prevent damage from rubber from folding.I AM COMPLETELY AWARE I purchased these for something THEY ARE NOT designed to do. They will be used and beaten in ways that they probably wouldn't be if they were on a kayak. They've already survived their first workout. Mostly deadlifts. I threw the bag a couple of times to test out. They look like they did before. No joke, I was surprised. They looked flimsy and cheap. I was sure they'd tear half-way through their first session.I will update this review in 6 months (or sooner, if the handles don't last that long). I expect to put these handles through more hell than they were intended for.

Not as heavy duty as expected, the quality is thin and very bendable, wanted a thicker and less flexible handle. I ran 2 3/4 inch webbing strap thru and it will work but maybe put a 1/2 dia hose thru it to make it more stiff. So if you are going to carry light item this will work, but I am carrying about 30 lbs item, it's better on my hands than without.

During my refurbishing of this Coleman steel wrapped cooler, I wanted to replace the flimsy plastic handles with a sturdier design like Yeti's have. Yeti wanted $20 for their replacement handle set-up. With these for ~$5 and $2 worth of rope from West Marine, I was able to make them myself!

Wow! I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how bad these smell. The OVERPOWERING chemical smell coming off of these is SO BAD. I washed them, I soaked them, I used Aerosol Deoderizing Spray. NOTHING worked. The smell coms off on your hands, and any material touching these. In order to throw them out I had to wrap them in saran wrap and put them in a Ziplock bag to put them in the garbage. My eyes and nose are burning, and the headache is almost instantaneous. Whatever material these are made from cannot be safe for humans. DO NOT BUY!
