This digital angle finder works reasonably well and is pretty accurate. The build quality is mid-level, on par with what you might expect to find at a budget tool store. Overall, it gets the job done and can be handy to have around. A decent value at the price point.

This is a nice angle finder and works similar to a digital caliper. The markings on the rulers is easy to read as well as the display. The edges and corners of the rulers are sharp. A 2032 battery was included. Line up both rulers on a flat surface and press the zero button to calibrate it. I tested it against a couple of precision squares and 45 triangles I have in my shop and found it to be very accurate, but the display can jump around a bit.The knob can be loosened and tightened to help hold the angle, but it will not "lock" it in place. So, you still need to be careful transferring the measurement. At least you can see if it moved by the digital display. If you move the gauge a little (10-15 degrees) there is one level of resistance and then it gets stiffer if you move it farther. This makes it a little easier to line it up.Overall, it does what it is supposed to.

Easy to use for so many projects. My husband is a welder and uses it all the time. Easy to read digital display, very happy with it so far.

When I ordered this, I was looking for a sliding T bevel square and ended up buying this for the same task. I do wish this had adjustable length rulers like the sliding T bevel square, so you could measure the angle of tighter corners. The steel rulers on this seem to be straight and reasonably heavy duty, and the thumb screw works well. I assume the batteries won't last long in this, but they did include 3 in the package. This "zeros" when you turn it on. If you don't have the two blades aligned perfectly when you turn it on, the measurement will be off. That said, the gauge is not very accurate. I have checked multiple items like each corner of a porcelain tile, factory plywood edges, and multiple speed squares, and I consistently get 90.5 degrees for square corners and around 45.1 to 45.2 degrees on 45 degree corners. Speed squares CAN be inaccurate, but I've checked mine with machinist squares and other means of testing, and each of mine are REALLY good. Because of the inaccuracy, I gave this 3 stars. In the real world, the gauge inaccuracy doesn't matter that much, though. For example, I may need to cut a board for a corner that is 89.7 degrees. I can't go set my miter saw for .3 degrees and expect to get a perfect result (the miter saw angle adjustments are not that precise). If I want precision, I'll ignore the gauge, align this to what I need to fit, then align my saw to the square. With that method, I should be able to get repeatable accuracy.

This seems to be a sturdy little digital angle guage, feels heavy in your hand as the scales are stainless steel.Comes with 3 batteries, one to use, two for spares.I checked it against a couple of drafting triangles I have that I know are accurate, as well as a machined aluminum shape that has an insane tolerance. It was about the same on all of them, which isn't up to the spec on the package. Results can be seen in my pics. This will be just fine for my woodworking, but it may not be accurate enough for any precision metal work. However, I must say that this may well have been me being sloppy in zeroing it, due to the difficulty in ensuring an accurate zero on the device. The scales are only about 1/16 inch thick, so keeping them perpendicular to a flat table saw top to zero it out is a little problematic. I suppose holding it against a 1-2-3 block would solve that, but I don't have one handy. So, until I can conduct new measurements and ensure accuracy in those measurements, I'd say this is a good tool for woodworkers, but for metalworking, it would depend on what kind of work you're going to use it for.

Found the need for a protractor in more than one project where either desirable or precise angles were needed. The digital readout protractor takes all the guesswork out. The numbers are etched into the metal rather than just being printed on. The digital readout in clear and reversible at the push of a button allowing for ease of determining angles in awkward places. The thickness of the metal provides assurance of a sturdy tool. See photo of angle check of garage door arm with reverse screen selected allowing for quick reading in awkward spot. Door arm is to be 30 degrees or under, so this tool gave assurance of proper install. Glad I have added this to my tool collection.
