i have purchased 2 times amd both times 3 out of 6 pods dont spruce and it also takes more than a few weeks . i didnt return the item because it takes a few weeks for it to sprout

When we received an Aerogarden as a gift, it was fun so we bought another one. We loved the products back then. But since then, we have discovered that the seed pods often don't produce any plants. As an example, out of two boxes of products (2 different combos), we've only had 4 seeds produce anything. This is definitely a turnaround from earlier purchases where we had 100% production. On top of that, I've opened up at least 4 of those that didn't produce and there aren't even any seeds in them. I complained about 3 of the pods and did get a refund of a few dollars but my deadline to ask for replacements are over and I still have seeds not producing and another box I haven't opened yet, so I can't ask for any more refunds. Very frustrating and a super waste of money buying these products. I am extremely frustrated. And my neighbor is fed up with hers too. She purchased 2 Aerogardens too and has had very little luck lately. What happened to quality products?

Even though aero garden is not currently selling products, I was happy to find some seeds here. I have already planted them and they are thriving just like the aero garden seeds I’ve previously purchased.

I've used these multiple times to start my Aero Garden over from scratch. The pods sprout within days and once the leaves start peaking through the paper, they grow very quickly! Often times within 2-3 weeks, I have so much basil I can hardly use it fast enough. Trimmings from the plants can also be used as starts and transplanted to other pots. Many times I take trimmings and put in a glass of water and they'll start rooting into the water if I don't eat them after a few days.Within a month, the Aero Garden is overwhelmed with basil and I make pesto. But if I don't get around to making pesto or using as much as I thought, the plants can easily get out of control and take over. They'll grow around the lights and even go to seed if not pruned regularly. I'm still kind of learning how to extend the usable life of these plants because after about 3 months of regular pruning and using small quantities daily, the plant just gets thicker and more hearty and the leaves grow kind of yellow instead of deep green. They'll sometimes begin to flower and go to seed if left untouched long enough. Right now, I have some older growth from my last kit, and the stalks are so thick now that they still produce a lot of leaves, but as a mature plant, they drink nearly a pitcher of water a day and drop leaves all over the place. When it gets to this point, I usually order another kit to start over and when I clean out the Aero Garden reservoir, the root system is incredible almost completely filling the machine. I think it's probably best to transplant each pod into a pot outside the Aero Garden before the roots get so embedded once it hits maturity like this.

If you don't have an AeroGarden and you have horrible winters like I do, you need to get one immediately. The best part of the AeroGarden is how easy it is to set up and then how many different pods are available for use with it, like these herb pods. I can't speak to whether or not these pods can be used with any other type of hydroponic grower. But there is literally no thinking involved to take one of the pods, take off the cover, pop on a plastic lid, put it in the AeroGarden, sit back and wait for fresh herbs all through the winter months. My particular favorite is the basil. I love the variety that comes with this collection and I've always had real success with how quickly and well they grow.

Dad bought this Aerogarden for me the year he passed away. I have grown all kinds of veggies in it. I love growing them and putting them on my salad. It is right beside me at the table so I just turn and take some off. It grows healthy foods and pure foods. No soil. Just water. You fill it up, plug it in, and drop the grow pod in and wait. It is the easiest thing I've ever had to do! I bought Basil since it is SUPER delicious on salad. I just put the pod into the water yesterday so I have a week or so to wait. They grow fast. I highly recommend. I love this as it is a little something left from my Dad. I miss him like crazy. I think about him every time I grab veggies from it.

I've grown aero garden products before, so I have experience. Until this batch, I've only had one pod not sprout. In this batch, 3 out of 6 of them never sprouted after 4 weeks. Very disappointed with this batch of herbs. Of course the ones I was most looking forward to using were the ones that never sprouted. UGH!!

It's been about 3 weeks since I purchased this product and everything has sprouted at this point. Some of the pods took longer than was suggested but if you are patient they will grow! Can't wait to have some fresh herbs for my cooking!!

Five of the 9 pods received did not grow as advertised but when I put a submission through the Aerogarden website, they shipped 5 replacement pods very quickly. Overall pleased with the response!

This is the only thing the aerogarden does wellKeys1. Only use 2-3 pods. The basil will bush out2. Only only only cut from the top. Down to the next little baby sprout. It will grow to the light. Leave the side leaves alone , needed to keep the plant strong3. Keep topping uo the water, every 2-3 days. Fertilize when red light comes on. Err on side of less fertilizer, too much will kill the plantAnd thats it. I have 2 Aerogarden harvest elites, 2-3 basil plants each. I can get a good handful of basil almost every day

So this'll be my 5th time planting the Aerogarden. Fresh herbs are cool to have if you cook a lot. If you don't then perhaps not so much. If I had one complaint, it would be that they seem to put Thyme in these kits a lot. News flash- thyme almost never sprouts, and when it does, it typically doesn't produce any meaningful amount of herb before dying suddenly. Just not a great herb for this particular product. This kit had both thyme and savory. Savory doesn't do so hot, either. The trick to these Aerogardens is to get a kit that's a few sizes larger than your garden- 6 pod garden? buy a 9 pod kit. So if one doesn't sprout, you have a replacement. Yes, they guarantee their stuff will sprout- I wish you luck with that. I was never able to get any traction to that end the time I had a whole kit that didn't sprout. If you're the kinda person who can't let this kinda thing go, maybe do something else.
