I installed this on my 1997 Toyota Tacoma, and with little modification it worked very well. It seems like it's better than the stock offering. This was a cheapy, so I'm not expecting it to last very long, but a high quality one of these is still cheaper than the high quality stock replacement part. We'll see how long this will last, but I have high hopes.

To preface my comments, let me say that, before I left the automotive industry altogether, I was an ASE Master Automotive Technician. Make of this what you will. I bought this bearing because it had solid reviews and I could get it in two days via Prime. After replacing the factory bearing and u-joints (all made by Spicer and of good quality), I had a driveline vibration starting at 40 MPH. I spent my weekend checking driveshaft phase, looking for something I might have bent while installing u-joints, etc. After eliminating all other variables, I reinstalled the old Spicer bearing. Vibration gone, noise gone. Others may have luck with this bearing, but I sure didn't.

This was an exact fit for my 94 Ranger XLT 4X4 5 speed manual shift. There is much confusion whenever you try and match up a bearing for this truck as it seems there are two bearings listed for the truck. I can tell you this bearing worked fine for me. The inside diameter of the bearing is 30.1625 mm or 1.1875". This truck uses a two peace drive shaft. It does come with an replacement brush cover, which you can leave your old one on if you didn't destroy it when you removed your old bearing, just make sure you put this guard on the proper side, I myself had dinged my old cover up so I just knocked if off and installed the new one. My old carrier bearing was still good it was just that the rubber insulator on the old bearing was deteriorated and the truck would make a nice clunk whenever I shifted from reverse to forward or vice versa.
