We’ve been looking to free up countertop space and this product’s suspending bananas from the cabinet was meant to support that effort. Installation of both hooks lasted maybe 3 minutes, from cleaning/drying surface to firmly pressing/holding each hook. After waiting the required 24 hours, I placed a 4-lb bunch of bananas on it for a week. Product held firm while the second hook was folded out of sight. After a week I then tested the second hook by hanging 15 lbs on it for 24 hours which is the rated weight capacity. The product aced the exam. Now, I’m not positive it needs to be able to hold 15 lbs given its marketed purpose, and perhaps that drives up its price point above other comparable products with lower weight capacity. Then again, maybe that extra adhesion will make the product last longer.

These hooks for bananas are nice. They adhere well and easily (just don't hang anything on it for 24 hours after installation). There's a magnet on each side that the hook can move towards, so if you want you can hide the magnet when you're not using it by attaching it to the magnet. They're a good side too, so even if you buy a bunch of bananas (like 8 or 9) it'll still easily hold them all. You can also hand a mesh bag and keep other veggies or fruits on here.

Easy to install, holds adequate weight. Installs in seconds with included adhesive. I use it to hold a hand towel near the kitchen sink.

Well, I'm going to have to trust that the adhesive is strong enough to hold a bunch of bananas and doesn't give up over time. I had incorrectly assumed that the dots next to each side of the hinge were holes such that I could fasten with screws but they aren't, they are magnets. The upside there is that the hook definitely will stay in the up position when you don't want to use it. So close to the perfect product. I didn't remove any stars for the lack of being able to attach it with screws as it describe this as being attached with adhesive.

I recently found a banana hammock that I needed an extra hook to keep the other end up in place under the counter. I wanted 2 hooks because I want to keep more than just bananas in the hammock. When I first saw this hammock, I thought that it would look great under my kitchen cabinet filled with all sorts of fruits. Things like bananas, avocados, lemons, limes, tangerines, and any fruit that won’t get smashed by being in the hammock. Plus, I think that this fruit hammock looks amazing with the beige macrame rope. I love how big it is as well. It’s just the right size to hold what I want and need it to hold. And it’s all because of the gold hooks.I love the price of the hooks. It really helps the fruit hammock come together and look so cool. I couldn’t have done this without the gold hooks. I’m so glad that I was able to find this one because it fits the style as the other side hook. Rich, gold color, and the hook can be folded up to the cabinet when the fruit is finished. Or it can remain in the downward position holding the fruit hammock. One thing that is so important to mention is that each of these hooks is held up by super strong 3M tape. The tape will hold up to 13 lbs., and since I have one on each side, my fruit should be held up perfectly. Plus, I can hold a bunch of bananas on the hook itself. I don’t have to keep a fruit hammock for the bananas. Keeping the bananas on the hook will actually keep them from getting bruised.Buying 1 gold hook is quite reasonable, but you can also buy a 2 pack for a great price. These hooks are amazingly versatile and great for so many different things. I’m really glad that I am using them for my fruit hammock. It looks super cool.
