Quality seemed OK. I ended up just cutting it to pieces and using the ends, but they worked pretty well.

Installed this in a 2018 silverado, non-bose system, with the 8" inch screen. It installed super easy! And it fit nicely behind the factory head unit. I did not use the built in dials, I left them at zero and tuned with the controls on my amp. I did run a PAC LC-1 gain knob between my amp and this adapter because the two channel sub amp I installed didn't have a gain knob, and that worked perfectly. I've had this almost two years so far and it's still working fine! This works great if you're only looking to run a two channel amp and don't want to spend a lot of money. Plug and play, very easy!

Install couldn't have been easier. I put it in my 2015 GMC Canyon with the basic stereo system with the smaller screen. Take off the frame/vent panel around the stereo, there are then four 7mm bolts to remove. Pull the screen out and find the green plug. Unplug it and plug this adapter in then plug the wire you just unplugged into the other end of the adapter and you have installed it.At this point you can plug in your rca cord and route it to your amp. Then put the bolts back in and replace the panel. It does have gains that can be set but their method did not seem practical to me and I lack any specialized equipment so I left it where it was and adjusted the gain on my amp instead. This adapter, like many basic ones of this sort, does not have a 12v remote power jack. In my case, I just ran a remote wire into the harness of a 12v adapter "cigarette lighter" in the back seat area. It powers on with the vehicle and cuts off with it when you shut down the vehicle and open the door. Just pop the panel off and the harness is easy to get to, I removed a retaining clip, ran the wire down the 12v side and electrical taped it in. Make sure it is well secured, if it comes loose, the amp will turn off. You can figure out the correct side once you have a power wire connected to the amp. Just try each wire until you see the amp come on and then secure it. I taped mine in, the folded it back and taped some more, before folding it back again and adding more tape. I have 3000 watts on 2 12s banging inches away from it and haven't had any problems with the wire coming loose. If you have a Canyon, or likely its sibling the Colorado, there is a large wire grommet next to the brake booster you can cut a hole in to run a power wire through. Seems to be the best option. I got 1/0 wire through it with just a bit of fiddling with it.Make sure to set your gains on your amp and I would high recommend a model with a bass knob because the factory head unit is not particularly good for adjusting your sub on the fly. If possible find one with a "clip light" on the bass knob, it will save you a lot of hassle with setting gains and likely save you from a blown sub or a dead amp. I believe Amazon carries a budge brand called Black Diamond that has a clip light and down4soundshop makes the "JP" series of amps that have on but I do not think they are available on Amazon.
