Looks really good to hold a book but it doesn’t keep the book open to a page. If you just want to display a book this is perfect but not good for reading a recipe.

Purchased these to display a few books on my shelves. They’re a very thick plastic and well made. I’ll be ordering a few more.

This is a nice heavy duty stand. It's very shiny and has a good weight to it. I do wish it was angled back just a little bit more than it is. On thicker books, it tends to stand them almost at a 90 degree angle which makes it topple over. Otherwise it's a good display piece.

This is a beautiful display/holder, thick and sturdy! The clear acrylic shines like crystal, it is absolutely exquisite. It’s true that if a book isn’t opened to the center, you’ll need to set it in the stand a but w”wonky” (perhaps unstable)…. but it CAN be done, as demonstrated in my pics. If I need to use a recipe in the first 5 pages, I may need to set the book elsewhere (a bit of Beauty over Function in that regard). But I love that this clear stand takes NOTHING away from the appearance of a special cookbook (nor does it add any “bulkiness” to my counter). Simple and elegant, exactly what I wanted - and can accommodate very large (thick) books. Highly recommended for those who want a stylish display! A++

I mean...it's cheap. It's fine, it does its job...sort of. It's a little small and I have to set my cookbook perfectly on it for it to work, and the book still slides off half the time. So, mediocre at best but you get what you pay for
