Installed these on a 2003 Sienna and they caused a serious vibration starting about 60MPH that took some hunting down. The tires/wheels were unbalanced, so got those balanced but the van was still shaking in the rear. Tires weren't exactly the roundest and when they finally wore out, I swapped out the stock 15" steel wheels (hard to find tires for this wheel) for some 16" aluminum Camry rims/tires. Got the Camry wheels balanced and the vibration was still there. So, I figured it had to be the drums. I still had the Toyota original drums and took those to get machined. Installed the machined original drums and BAM, problem solved. Thanks AC Delco for bringing such a crap product to market with no QC. What a waste of time and money!!!!!

Bought 2 of these for a 2002 Toyota Sienna. Road tested and found that these are absolutely NOT BALANCED! At speeds above 45MPH there is horrendous vibration making them completely unsafe to operate. And, just to be clear, this is a one owner vehicle and it has never experienced any sort of speed related vibration prior to this installation. Thank goodness they are a Prime item, as they will certainly be returned.UPDATE: Replaced with a set from NAPA and road tested up to 70MPH with zero vibration and zero braking noise.

Fit great. Replaced previous with metal fins, and worn. Nice replacement. Low if any noise.

These are heavy duty. They don't have the heat dissipation fins, but you do not need them. Machine balanced and they were probably 30% heavier than the local auto parts replacement drum. These have the bolt holes to help you remove the drums after they have been on for a while. With the Toyota self adjusting system for drum brakes, it is nearly impossible to get the drum off without the helper holes. To remove the drums, just pick up two bolts from local hardware (forgot the size) and use a wrench or socket to tighten the bolts and back the drum off. Believe me, if you ever plan on removing the drums, you want the ones with the helper holes. One of the drums I replaced did not have the helper holes and it took me 2 1/2 hours to get the drum off. Technically, you can use a screwdriver. remove the rubber plug, align the hole with self adjuster and use the screwdriver to turn the self adjuster to loosen the shoes and remove the drum. Good luck with that method is all I can say. These are listed as taxi and heavy duty application. They don't have the fins to aid in cooling, but you really don't need them. They are designed to dissipate heat and are designed for heavy city driving with constant stopping. For the few extra dollars you pay, I highly recommend these over the local big box auto parts chains. My Toyota van had the aftermarket drums from the local auto parts and one was out of round and the other was badly balanced. Only drawback is you better get your arms in shape before installing. These are heavy - probably close to 40lbs each.
