If you need to support anything larger than 4"x4" the adjusting knob is in the way. It's top edge sits higher that the edge of the deck. Would have been better if the knob was centered in the scissor section. I suggest using a thin piece of wood glued to either surface. Other than that it works well. I just can't give this a full 5 star because of the obvious design flaw.
