Description: The 80 CF Welding Cylinder Tank is a substantial container designed to safely store and transport a gas mixture containing 75% Argon and 25% Carbon Dioxide (CO2). This gas blend, commonly referred to as "75/25 Argon-CO2" or "75/25," is a popular choice for shielding gas in welding processes like MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding. Here are some key features and details: Capacity: The "80 CF" designation indicates the cylinder's capacity in cubic feet (CF). This size provides a significant volume of the 75/25 Argon-CO2 gas mixture, making it suitable for extended welding projects without the need for frequent refills. Gas Mixture: The cylinder is filled with a precise gas mixture of 75% Argon and 25% Carbon Dioxide. This specific blend is chosen for its ability to balance inert shielding (Argon) and increased penetration and arc stability (CO2). It's commonly used for welding carbon steel and some low-alloy steels. Valve Type (CGA 580): The cylinder is equipped with a CGA 580 valve, which is the standard valve for Argon gas. This valve type ensures compatibility with the regulator or flow control device used to regulate the flow of the 75/25 Argon-CO2 gas mixture to the welding torch. Full: The cylinder is described as "FULL," indicating that it is currently filled to capacity with the 75/25 Argon-CO2 gas mixture and is ready for immediate use in welding applications. Safety: Welding gas cylinders are constructed with safety in mind. They typically feature robust steel construction and safety features like pressure relief devices to prevent over-pressurization. Transportation: Welding cylinders often have built-in handles or caps for easy transport and handling, allowing them to be moved around the workshop or job site as needed.

I hate dealing with my local ARC gas supply. This eliminates the assH-les. Arrived well packed and had a 2024 date code.

The tank I received was exactly as described in the product listing. Brand new with a 2024 testing date. DOT stamp and fully pressurized according to the markings on the cylinder. Product arrived within a few days of placing the order.

Nice new looking tank with a new valve. Decent price. Mig welding gas, I like this process better than flux core. The welds are clean and good looking.

It came well boxed. It was very heavy for the box size. I was aware but the FedEx guy was shocked at the weight and the distribution of the weight. It is full of gas and was ready to use. It was less on Amazon than getting a full bottle from my local welding supplier. I highly recommend purchasing from this seller.

I was wanting a larger second tank so that I could have my 40 as a backup but never got around to getting one, this was fast easy and convenient. Brand-new full tank everything hooks up and works correctly, was even 3 days early.Could not be happier about this purchase, would recommend it for anyone needing one.

Came filled to 2000 PSI, but the tank is marked “022” and a “+” so 2420 PSI (2200 + 10%) seems more appropriate. Oh well, still a much better deal than buying local where I would have paid over $600 for the same item. The test date appears to be 03/22, and there’s a star stamped in so it shouldn’t need a retest until 2032. Good. The cap threads fit poorly, very loose making the cap hard to put on (threads jam). Appears to be the cap threads rather than the tank. It does go on but it’s kind if a struggle.Delivery was good, a burly Amazon delivery driver brought it right to my door. I did have to sign for it. It was packed in a skinny cardboard box with lots of packing around the valve cap and arrived in good shape. The contents (argon/CO2) are correct, far as I can tell - it produces clean welds, no porosity.Overall good, I recommend.

I received a perfect new tank, and looks to be top quality. Not much really to talk about... it's a gas cylinder, and it appears to be top spec and well within the Reading some other reviews concerned me at first, because until researching for myself, I may have also thought there was a problem. I have never bought one of these before, and I did a bit of research (it didn't take much time). The stamped cylinder markings prominently states "DOT 3AA 2015", which to the unaware would look like it is a date, making this 5 years old. As it turns out, the 2015 has nothing to do with a date. DOT 3AA 2015 is the Dept of Transportation specification code. 3AA means high pressure steel and 2015 PSI is the service pressure specification of the tank (see the table I uploaded). The manufacture date is a bit more cryptic in the codes stamped on the tank (see photos). So, I believe you can disregard the negative reviews saying it was 5 years old, etc. I think that is not the case, but more likely a misunderstanding of the stamp marks on the tank. In my case, the tank was manufactured and certified about 14 months ago... well within the I replied to some recent negative reviewers with some code decrypting on my tank, which you can find if you look for some of my comments to negative reviewers. I've included some of the info on the pictures I uploaded. Hopefully it helps in your decision making.
