Thes 6x6 post bases seem to be heavy duty and are designed for wood and or on existing concrete installation. The floor/bottom of the base is designed to elevate the post of the ground, concrete, deck, etc.It has adequate drainage holes, and the design and structure are intended for a concrete installation.The included concrete anchors add value and ease of installation. The painted anchors are a nice touch.

I liked these because they were pretty tall, reaching over 6" in height. The inside bottom plate of these post bases are solid and the pre-drilled holes in the side plate were well into the center of the post base. This was important to me because when installing my Gazebo I discovered that my patio had significant slope in two directions and out of level base will create bolt up issues later! Because of the solid plate bottom, I was able to add different sized spacers to shim the gazebo posts "up" to create a level base. And because these post bases are 6" tall, there was plenty of "side wall" to securely bolt the gazebo posts through the pre-drilled holes. I highly recommend this product and I will probably order again when I build a new set of steps to my shop.
