Was fairly plug and play. The hardest part was running the cable up the inside of the quarter panel of the truck to the plug hole so it can plug into the 7way connector inside the bed of the truck. Other than that it was easy to install once you drop the spare tire.

Fit nicely and worked. Zip ties that are included are perfect for the recycle bin or welding your plastics back together on the side by side - but only if you melt them first. If the zip ties were of at least standard quality or not included I would have given it 5 stars.

The plug on my 2000 F250 was worn out with several of the connecting pins broken. Unplugged the old system, plugged in the new one and works perfect. Also had the extension run into the bed of the truck for my fifth wheel plug in. With both pieces coming from the same manufacturer, I didn't have to worry about the connections not matching.

I bought this to add a 7-pin connector at the hitch on my F-250, which already had a connector in the bead for a gooseneck. The bed connector had been spliced into the harness directly, and they had left the connector open. This plugged right into the connector and had plenty of cable to reach over to the hitch receiver. I had to wire tie up a bit of the cable to keep it up and protected. The harness seems to be well made, with heavy duty wires. The wire harness is protected in split loom the entire length. The 7-pole connector is not wired in, but rather a plug on the end of the cable snaps onto the back of the connector. That makes it easy to mount the connector in the bracket first, then snap the cable onto the back. It appears to be sturdy and sealed, time will tell. If it gives me trouble, there is plenty of wire to cut the connector off and replace it with a standard 7-pole socket.

I used this on my 2019 ram 1500 classic. Plugged in between the harness and plug behind the bumper. I did have to de-pin the harness to get it to fit into a hole in the bed, which was easy enough. I'm using this to maintain a battery in the bed of my truck that powers a small winch. So far, so good.
