Installed this into a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, 3.6L engine. I also performed a coolant flush. The install is fairly easy, straightforward with two 10mm bolts (torque these to 106 ft/lb's). The hardest part is removing the hose clamp. Any pair of channel locks will do, but I guess they sale a specific "hose clamp" tool for this job if you're interested!

I was waiting to buy an actual mopar thermostat but they were back ordered so I got this one at a fantastic price. Easily installed and hopefully it lasts? Working as expected.

flushed cooling system and installed a new Leimo thermostat sold by Amazon. Less than 1000 miles later thermostat would not open. I used a vacuum positive fill tool to insure all the air was displaced and system full of coolant. All was working well for a while. Then my Wrangler overheated - No pressure on the top hose - bottom hose hard! I was stranded with an overheated engine, thinking the thermostat was not opening - getting it back to my shop i pulled the thermostat took it home and put it in a pot of water heated to, first 180 degrees where it is supposed to open - then to 200 degrees and finally 220 degrees - thermostat stayed in water over 15 minutes and didn't budge. defective thermostat!I can't find who to contact for replacement as there is no US customer service information. Besides replacement of the thermostat you have the labor, inconvenience, coolant cost and risk to your all aluminum engine plus getting your vehicle recovered - not worth the trouble-- buy the mopar brand oem thermostat - hopefully that will take care of that - my original thermostat lasted 11 yrs with a lot of sitting.
