The Capowill 5.0Ah replacement battery is such a great replacement option if you want more power and longer runtime than the 2.0Ah battery but at a much better price than the 7.5Ah battery. We got this as a backup for our Toro trimmer and so far so good. It has great functionality and runs longer than the 2.0Ah that we already had. Overall pleased with this upgrade for just a little more cost than just getting another 2.0Ah and almost half the cost of the 7.5Ah battery. It seemed the perfect compromise for our needs. We have a small yard so didn't need a lot more run time, just a little more.

My Toro Flex-Force leaf blower is my favorite leaf blower. It packs a mighty punch, making quick work of jobs that would take much longer with less powerful blowers. Since its cordless, its much safer and easier to use on higher risk tasks, like gutter and roof maintenance. It also uses a lot of power and the OEM 2.0Ah battery was showing its age. When fully charged, only 3 LED lights illuminated, indicating a bad cell. Run-time in "Turbo Mode" was 4 minutes, tops. So I had been on the hunt for an affordable replacement and came upon this 5.0Ah replacement battery by Capowill and ordered it.Although ordered separately, this battery arrived together with another 5.0Ah 60V replacement battery by DSANKE, for my Toro Flex-Force Power System. The two are identical in every way and appear to be made by the same factory. Box, packing material, instructions and labeling were identical. At the time of this review, the Capowill ran $2 more than the DSANKE.Both came charged with 3 LED indicator lights lit and so needed some topping off, which took a couple hours. Both fit perfectly into the charger and into the leaf blower. I ran each one, first the DSANKE, for a quick test, then the next day, after a 1" snowfall, I ran both the DSANKE and the Capowill, along with my smaller Toro OEM battery. My intention, aside from testing both batteries under more arduous conditions, was to clear snow off the driveway. Not an easy task. Temps in the single digits can affect performance. I wasn't sure how the blower would handle it, but I was hopeful. From time-to-time, suspended snow did go through the blower, very limited, but still, that's not what it was designed for. The motor would be warmed, even hot and snow could melt and short out.Even though I was wearing thick winter gloves, I noticed an unmistakable tingling of electricity in my hand. It was shorting out and entering my hand! To test this, I switched hands and got the same sensation. This occurred with both 5.0Ah batteries, but not the OEM 2.0Ah Toro battery. The blower kept working through all of it and never shut down. The next day I decided to give both indistinguishable batteries a further test. Using my sport watch's stop watch, I timed the fully-charged run-time of each on the highest output mode. This moves an impressive 565 cubic feet per minute of air, and is quite loud, so I used earplugs. Results? Just a tad over 10 minutes of run-time. Ten minutes and twenty two seconds for one and nearly the same for the other. If not on high output mode, you could expect a doubling or more of run-time, although I have not tested that.I was also able to establish a direct causal connection between the shorting/tingling and snow ingress. So heads-up! Even minor snow ingress can cause shorting.Bottom Line:The Capowill 60V 5.0Ah replacement battery for the Toro Flex-Force System fits perfectly and works as expected. It's about 50% heavier than my OEM 2.0Ah battery, approx. 4.5 lbs. vs. 3.0 lbs., but probably equal to what a 60V 5.0Ah OEM battery weighs. It's $181 vs. $240 for the same output in a Toro OEM battery. So the savings are significant. I haven't had it long enough to go through dozens of charge cycles and notice if there are any performance changes, but I don't expect any. This is a good choice if you are in the market for a replacement battery.Recommended

I ordered this because I needed an extra TORO Flex Force trimmer battery. Initially, I used an old 2.0 Ah, which was very good, but I would often run out of juice, or I would forget to charge after the last use. This aftermarket 5.0Ah is excellent. It fits the TORO charger and trimmer perfectly, not as much as a shimmy or a wobble. I started with a full charge and tested it for a good ten-minute full bore, and it only used one bar on the indicators. It's 11 degrees with wind chill today and the middle of winter, so there isn't anything to trim. Therefore, I could not precisely say the run time, but my best estimate would be 40 minutes for the trimmer. This is about $120 cheaper than the TORO version. There isn't any depreciation of power it the same, but it is heavy, around 5.5 pounds compared to 2 pounds of the 2.0Ah. I will take the trade-off.
