The Core 5 snare drum mic and the other multi kit we purchased from them all seem clear and function well with no noise return. The only issue with these mics is that they are not as mid range and bass sensitive as I'd like, so I just need to use a boost in those parts of the EQ on the board itself. They do return a nice sound image in the high range, and for the snare that is most important, but still there seems to be a lack of a nuance there by having a completely full sound range. I'd say great for average live playing and amps, maybe not so much for recording delicate kinds of stuff, if recording is your goal. These certainly amplify really well in a live setting over a PA! Just make sure the mic is securely set.PS: the little holders are not bad. Fit most drum edges well, but the mounts also fit most mic stands no problem.

The mic worked great but the tripod was not in the package. We had to buy a clip to hold the mic to the snare drum. Wouldโve been nice if the package received match the pictured item.
