When putting the bench together, one of the parts where there should be drill holes, had two drill holes at the top when it should have been one at the top and one at the bottom. Fortunately, I was able to drill a hole on my own. The ad says it is a cream color but the picture appears more white than cream. It is definitely a cream color. It is not a soft bench but perfect for the front door where people can sit to take their shoes off. Overall, I'd recommend the bench.
