About this item

  • BLACK HORSEHAIR - More and more players tried and loved black haired violin bows. We use natural black Mongolian horsehair with great resilience for the carbon bow, making it easier to be rosined. Black horsehair is thicker than white hair, delivers you loud and wild tone surprisingly.
  • ADVANCED PERFORMANCE - Your Vingobow violin bow was made by old experienced bowmaker. The carbon arch will provide you loud and wild tone. Recommended for advanced players.
  • QUALITY CARBON FIBER - The stick of the advanced carbon violin bow is stronger and more durable than Pernambuco, with well bounce and great flexibility. The 4/4 sized arch is lightweight, close to 60g and approx. 74.5cm including the screw. Easy to play.
  • PERFECT BALANCE POINT - Balance point is very important for a fiddle bow. Our maker always adjusts it several times to ensure it is in the right range. Great balance point enables players easier to control a bow.

  • No, this is a brand-new bow that has never been rosined yet. Vingobows have no special requirements on rosin brand, please just use your preferred one for it.

the price is low but the quality is high. why purchase a product at much higher price when this one is in quality equal to many much higher priced bows.?!

The bow seems great to me. I am a very beginner violinist, so I can't compare it to something that is very high-end, but it works great for me. FYI, the bow hair stretched significantly to the point where it would not tighten. I do love the black hair though. This was not an issue for me as I was able to shorten the hair myself, but for someone not comfortable doing this, you may have to take it to a music store to have this done.

Pros: cheap and the bow itself looks pretty nice!Cons: the hairs basically just fall out without any applied pressure which makes it more of a cosmetic piece for a wall or something than an actual tool to play an instrument. Very not good in fact I'd say very bad and a huge waste of time on my part.

Es un producto increible, tiene un peso muy ligero, su respuesta es muy rápida, tarda en agarrar la brea al inició y mas si utilizas breas obscuras pero una vez que queda bien cubierto es impresionante. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

I really like this bow. It's not expensive, but it plays well. The horsehair is easily rosined and the carbon fiber is easy to guide without pressure. I play for 2 or more hours daily and the bow is holding up nicely!

I am a senior citizen who started playing violin a little over 3 years ago. I had purchased the model 106VB a couple years ago and all the hairs suddenly released after about 6 months of use. I liked that bow until that incident. I switched to a $200 carbon fiber bow from another manufacturer, but it also had issues. I have a couple friends who use this 100VB and love them, so I thought I would try the Vingobow again. I can tell this one is much better than my first Vingobow. This one weighs in at 60.8 grams. I can't comment too much on balance and tone with my limited experience at playing, but it seems to play easier than my other CF bow (the $200 one).

This bow is AMAZING. My new favorite, not only does it look wicked awesome, it makes a richer sound. I love it more than the much more expensive bow i carefully selected at my local luthier. I did have difficulty getting it to take rosin at first.. but i managed by using my old bow to loosen rosin for each stroke. It was well worth the trouble! No difficulty rosining it after the first time.

Bad quality, awful craftsmanship. I tightened it to put rosin on it earlier and then loosen it to put it away after practice i pick it back to tighten again and wouldn't tighten even thou the frog screw was tight and hair was loose. As a matter of fact the piece if metal that holds it in place came off and the hair disassembled from frog. Amazon customer service Maria gave me a refund and told me to throw it away.

This bow is not too heavy or light. Was expecting a very light bow due to it being carbon fiber, but it is a good weight. On to the black hair, yes it sounds great! I'm using nylon core strings and it grabs the G&D very well. It does not hiss on the A or E string. Though it is black hair it is not coarse, and it still produces delicate sound. This is an intermediate bow and I recommend starting out on it for many reasons. One,including, so you can see how to rosin the bow unlike the difficulty with white hair. Another, the bow will not warp like my bow I had before. My teacher and I tried to figure why my bow bounced so much, and the bow was warped. Any straight bow could have corrected the issue, but why go for a bow that has the potential to warp when just starting out?

I wasn't too sure about the quality of this violin bow, I ordered it, received it in 2 days and I couldn't be any happier with the quality. This is one really nice, hand-crafted bow and I am ordering a second one. This bow can be purchased with 100% satisfaction that it is quality and you will be happy with your purchase.
