I ordered these as I understand that the metal are more durable and fire resistant, as well as designed for harsher climates. It works just fine as far as color and coverage. Honestly, I prefer the PVC covers as they are lighter, easier to clean, don't scratch so easily and a bit easier to install.

THE HOME DESIGNER SUGGESTED REMOVING WALL SCONCES AND JUST COVERIN THEM WITH PLATES, I DID NOTLIKE THE IDEA BUT SHE HAS GOOD TASTE. WHEN I PAINTED THEM THE WALL COLOR, ONE CAN BARELY SEE THEM AND A PICTURE COVERS THEM VERY WELL. GOOD PRODUCT.

Plates covered nicely with an overlap but screws bottomed out in junction boxes before plates were flush.
