The sticky backing was a mess. It would peel off in clumps and would not lay smooth in the surface of what was trying to double stick tape.

Don't put too much trust in this being cut correctly. This was clearly cut off a larger roll, having both sides slightly frayed. Out of 2in of width, 1.5-1.7 is usable. The edge pulls off when it unrolls, leaving it uneven on the edges. Was ok for my use, but if you need entire 2in with, might disappoint.

Buyer beware. Other reviews stating this product arrives damaged due to improper storage or roll cutting are true. I could not get the adhesive to peel off of the backing smoothly making it useless for my application as adhesive pulls off and bunches up. Looks like it was melted during cutting or stored improperly. Inside of roll looks like it got wet or something as well. Not worth your time or money.

The edges have adhesive crimped from the saw cut that causes the adhesive to peel off of the next layer of backer. Impossible to apply one even layer without ripples.

Some rolls are clearly defective -- possibly how they're stored at the warehouse or how they're manufactured. I unroll 1 roll of this, fast or slow, work fine -- takes some practice to apply, but no issues. Next roll -- edges cling to the roll, and it unrolls uneven and totally unusable, no difference with roll appearance, same packaging. I ordered 2 -- one was perfectly fine, the other I tried a few feet, and I couldn't get to a spot where it looked like it would be OK. I guess buy 2 hope 1 of them is OK.
