Our charger that came with the 3DS got lost, this one is a perfect replacement! Looks and feels just like the original. The DC electrical specs are the same too, provides 4.6V and 900mA.

I had an older 3ds and lost the charger. This one works as the original and charged up my 3ds quickly. I see no difference from the original.

I am so happy I decided to get this. I was almost ready to give up on my old DSi, and just cut my losses and throw it in the closet. I figured I'd give it a shot to try a new charger. The moment I got it, I was so happy to see the little charging lights come on! This made my whole day! All this time, and all that was wrong with my system was that I needed to get this new charger cord!! I'm so pleased with this charger, and it didn't even take long to charge to 100%! Bought a used 3ds online that was in bad shape and ordered this because I didn't think it would come with a charger. This thing is very cheap. The flip out plug has almost no detent to hold it out. Just kind of flops around. It's also, maybe a 3rd the weight of the original. Just very cheap. But it does charge...
