It fit the oldCole parmer scope very well. Easy to use. Easy to install. Beautiful pictures of wastewater filaments. The adjustable part of the scopes eyepiece needed to be dialed in to match the scope. I still haven’t discovered the correct battery for the remote control. Hoping it will allow me to bypass the auto adjustment of brightness.Very happy with it. It works as well as a camera purchased years ago for over $2000.

I received the camera and it is as I hoped for—BUT the instructions, for me at least, were very sub standard. No instructions on how to connect to your computer and a recommendation on apps/software to get it to work. No instructions in how to attach to a microscope and what other elements you might need. I still cannot get it to work with my MacBook Pro…so the product, I believe is a good…the instructions are poor at best.

I purchased this for $115 from Amazon, hoping that it would be suitable for my T490 Amscope microscope. There was very little information included in Amazon's description that allowed for direct comparison. Once it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised, and it came with all the connectors I needed and the required 0.5X reducer. It slotted into the camera port on the T490 without problems. You can either run video at 1080p through the HDMI cable provided, or show a picture (you have to download the Hayear app to your computer). The resolution for pictures is I guess around 2MP (1920x1080) which seems low. But the pictures are crisp and clear, and easy on the eyes.

After several camera purchases with the AmScope brand I have found one that actually works!! Some say the reason the AmScope brand doesn't work it because it needs USB 3.0 for better bandwidth. I've tried that with the same results... This camera installed in seconds and the software is nearly identical to the AmScope software. I can place a circuit board underneath the dissecting scope now, and move it around as fast as I like, and it stays IN FOCUS and lets me journey across the surface of what I am inspecting with no delays. Highly recommended after months of trying to get a camera that would work!
