I got these test leads for higher current use. Alligator clips and insulating covers work well and close firmly, and covers don't slip. Wire is silicone and quite flexible. Wire gauge and connection at clamps isn't great so not good for high current.I measured resistance of wire at 0.024 ohms, which indicates 18 AWG wire, not 14. Overall resistance from clamp to clamp is 0.069 ohms. Measured with 1A current through leads and measuring voltage drop across points (four-point technique).Wire is soldered to springs rather than clamp body, which adds more metal interfaces to body connection, and pulls and pushes wire when opening and closing. Wire insulation isn't crimped to body so slides. This repetitive motion on the solder joint can't be good. I've never seen clip lead soldered like this.

Upon placement of the order, I was not sure if this was 2 "sets" of wires or 2 "pieces". Turns out that each set of 2 are in separate plastic bags, so it turns out to be 2 sets of wires.They are good quality items and the alergator clips are nice with rubber coating to keep them from short circuiting. Tension of the clips is strong and each clip surface mates perfectly with its mate. They are a little over 3 feet in length each. Wire is very flexible.These will be placed in a mobile test equipment box and will definitely hold up to the rough use that this test equipment sees. Very happy with them and they are very budget friendly.
