Troubleshooting Whistle Issues

2. Loose Lid: A loose or improperly sealed lid can prevent the whistle from functioning. Adjust the lid seal using a tool if necessary.
3. Water in the Whistle: If water or steam accumulates in the whistle, gently shake it to remove any blockage.
4. Damaged Whistle: For damaged or detached whistles, contact customer service for replacement.
Common Lid and Screw Concerns
1. Tight Lid: A tight lid is normal for new kettles and will loosen slightly after several uses. If it remains too tight, You can use tools to adjust the buckle to control the tightness.
2. Loose Screws: Over time, screws at the bottom of the lid may loosen. Use a screwdriver to tighten as needed for a secure fit.
Daily Maintenance and Care
1.Remove Water Scale: If white mineral deposits appear at the bottom of the kettle due to water quality, clean them easily with citric acid or vinegar.
2. Keep Dry When Not in Use: To prevent rust, dry the kettle thoroughly before storing, especially in humid conditions.

Good quality tea kettle. I love the color and functionality. I use this to boil and steep my tea bags for sweet tea. The water capacity is perfect and the added rust resistance is an added bonus!

I hesitated to purchase this, because I don’t like tea pots that have handles that flop over. I find them difficult to pour from with one hand. This one has a handle that can be put down or it will stay straight when pouring. It really is the perfect little kettle. Absolutely fabulous! I don’t know why the reviews complain about the whistle. Thank goodness it’s not a screaming whistle. It’s just perfect!

At first I was very happy with this product. It boiled quickly and whistled well. However, about 1 week after the return period passed it developed a pinhole leak in the bottom. It may be that the bottom was made too thin in order to enable a fast boil but some compromise to ensure durability would be greatly preferable. I would not buy this product.

This is not suitable for induction cooktop. It has a very thin stainless steel base that doesn't work.

The kettle is well made and made from stainless steel, which is my choice material when choosing kitchen items. The water boils within 10 minutes even filled to the line indicated for max amount. If you have young children napping, I would recommend this kettle to you. It softly whistles when the water has boiled. However, if you are further out of range from the kitchen you may not hear the kettle is whistling. I would recommend placing a 10 minute timer, or being near the vicinity of the kitchen during the time the kettle is boiling the water. One recommendation to improve upon the kettle, would be to add a thick silicone handle. As the original handle can be sometime hot to handle when pouring the boiled water, but this can be resolved by simply wearing an oven mitt.

It looks like a chrome kettle. Very nice and perfect size sitting atop our Viking range. It works exactly like it should and the whistle is the perfect tone, not screechy. Can you tell that I really like this tea kettle?

I like it. Simple design and heats up quickly. The whistle is not real loud but you can hear it just fine.It was VERY hard to get the lid on the first time. After pushing the tabs in a little bit with the edge of a wooden spoon it was doable, and after a few uses it's gotten easier.Four stars out of five just because it's not a high end item.

Purchased this kettle based on feedback from others with great reviews however was disappointed. Yes I know it’s cheap compared to others but I believe with this you get what you pay for. I was going to return it as i wasn't happy with the quality however it was going to cost $15 so will keep for camping. I’m not sure if it’s a different kettle to what others have brought the brand of mine is not Weftnom as listed it’s a Tongfa, has no water level indicator, I found the handle underneath very sharp and the handle very flimsy.
