Forget cameras and outdoor lights. Where this product shines is in your GARAGE. I mounted this box on the ceiling, at the back of my garage and then installed this remote-controlled LED floodlight:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DKTDYXX6I'll rate the floodlight in a different post. The garage had an outlet near the front, in the ceiling, so the 20-foot cord was plenty long enough to get from there all the way to the back of the garage. It really doesn't get any easier to install, except for their screws. You will want a screw that's meant for wood, and it at least 1-3/4" long. The sheetrock in your garage is 5/8" thick, minimum and there is another 1/8" in the box itself.Just check your distance, find a joist in the ceiling, and screw it in. You can use the anchors that they include, but I prefer to screw fixtures into the structure, not the sheetrock. They also include some small clamps for the wire, they would be fine for going into actual wood siding, but again, for sheetrock, they are pretty much useless. Instead, get some cable ties that have the screw loop at the end and screw them into the joists as well.Foe the east of installation, and the problem it solves, I think this is a great product.

Definitely saves the day and project when hard wiring is not an option but projects need to get completed. Used this for a wyze cam set up but certainly can see these being used for many lightening projects that require wire set up. My area had a junction box but no wire. I pulled the supplied wire apart from the box and ran it through the opening and the rest was simple set up just as planned.i kept the supplied box and screws for backup. Love the easy use of the pull in. There was a handy power box not far.

I am full time in my 5th wheel RV. I installed over a year ago a WYZE cam flood light for automated lighting and a security camera to help keep an eye on the RV when I am not home.Although the RV park I am currently set up at, is safe and quite, and the neighbors are friendly and all-around respectable of each other. The park is mostly dark after the sun sets, even though the night-lights offers ambient illumination, I am wanting to add the additional automated lighting. My previous set up, I used and modified an extension cord, cut off the female end, and wired the cut end through a round junction box and wired up the WYZE Flood light, and the hung the fixture with a powerful suction cups and a back-up tether, just-in-case a fall-failure occurs. Not wanting to drill holes in the side of my RV. I rigged up the WYZE Cam Flood lights to be removeable for travel days, and then easy to set back up, when I get landed again.I have been wanting to make another setup and place on the back end of the 5th wheel. The added automated lights and ability to see the back end, which is literally walled off and no windows, provides a bit-sense of security.I happened to comes across the CaGuan Store, 2 in1 Power Adapter and Floodlight Cam Plug-in Mount Compatible with Wyze Floodlight Cameras v2/Pro/v1, Electrical Box with 20ft Weather-Resistant Outdoor Charging Cable, No Junction Box Required-Black. Perfect for my intended setup. The adapter is nicely assembled, plug and play. Made to for easy attaching the WYZE Floodlight and hanging method of wall attachment. The 20ft extension cord is of ample length and perfect for my intended purpose. Overall a simple awesome adapter, easy to use, and sturdy and durable to hold and secure the floodlight-cam.Highly recommended. Fair and justified value for the money. Quality and performance-made.

This mounts up easy and has a long cord, so you can place a regular flood light or combo cam/light option where you need it. For me, the power outlet is under my patio near the door, but I wanted my flood light near the corner of the house. I already have a cam mounted there, but I wanted some light for the area. After mounting the unit, I installed the smart floodlight, wiring it up and them plugging the unit it. I used clips to hide the cord up high and out of the way. As this allows for regular wired installs, you can pretty much use any wired unit for install. As always, take into account any extra weather protection needed as you don't want water getting between the unit and the lights/device. I used a little silicone along the edge when hanging it up. Then the foam seal when mounting the light itself.

Works well, limits the amount of cutting required, and no "hard wiring" required. The BAD:1. I've seen lots of other mounts (for this Wyze device and others) made of much sturdier materials. For use at home, it's fine. But I'd not use this in places where abuse is possible. The GOOD:1. I mounted this with a single hole through the wall and into a plug on the ceiling of a shed. So all in all, apart from the mounting screws, I made a single 1/3" hole in the wall. Much easier to seal back up! Just go out the back instead of out of the bottom of the mount).2. Secures the wire nicely, and minimal penetrations to weather seal.3. Was up and online in under 10min from start to finish. Of course, the sealant took an extra day to fully cure, but it held in the rain this morning (that was why I waited to post this).4. Color matches my black Wyze floodlight cam setup, so it looks good on the mount.5. The cable length is quite nice. I don't need that much, but I didn't cut it, just coiled and zipped to a rafter for now.6. Let's face it, the best part of this is that it allows the cam to be mounted without a junction box, and it just plugs in. That alone makes it worth it!

This floodlight camera mount seems to work well as a camera mount and junction box. The mounting box features metal threaded inserts that work well to keep the floodlight camera securely fastened to the camera mount. The camera mount seems to be durable enough to hold up well outdoors.
