With the variable speed and the new types of belts that are available to this 1x30 belt sander has become a go to tool for finishing and polishing silver and gold hand crafted jewelry.The new belt types such as Scotch Brite and wool felt which don’t work well with the old style 1x30s work great on this machine and make many jobs such as removing fire scale or smoothing contours much easier.
