Very hard to lock in place. That’s a good thing. They should stay locked in place

These bushings worked perfectly in my ‘04 2500. The passenger side wiper stopped working several months back. I assumed the cost of repair would be prohibitively expensive to justify on my old farm truck, so we have relied on one wiper for quite a while. Finally I got tired of that and started researching the cost of a do it yourself repair. I thought I might be able to fashion a repair without spending any money, but that was not an option. Then I discovered that my problem is likely just worn out bushings and these bushings are so inexpensive. I ordered them without even knowing for sure that this was my problem as my research suggested that this is commonly why one wiper stops working. I replaced all of the bushings in my wiper linkage system for only a few dollars and with a little bit of labor I now have both wipers work again. I feel silly for having gone so long without making this pretty simple repair.
