I got these felt pads to replace the originals on my 1968 Bundy Alto Sax. The only felt pads I have to compare these new ones with are the 50+ year old pads on my Bundy, so I don't know whether these are better, equal, or lesser quality, compared to the originals.The length of the new pads is OK. I may need to trim them down a bit but that should be easily done with an X-acto knife. I'm not going to bother doing so, though, because the diameter of the pads is quite a bit too small.In the photos, I'm showing the new pads with one of the 50+ year old pads from my Bundy. You can see the new ones are not only twice as long (I'm sure at least some of that additional length is due to the old felt being compacted over the decades), but they're not wide enough. There's nothing I can do to fix that.YMMV, but for my application these are no good.

These felt column bumper guards were good for my saxophone. The 10 piece set is durable and maintaining the key height positioning on my alto sax. It fits well and ensures a snug fit without slipping during play.
