The lugs received are solid copper lugs as expected. They're well marked as 8 AWG and fit a #10 stud size, but there's enough meat that they could be drilled for a 1/4" hole in a pinch. For the best connection when used in harsh conditions I crimp them after brushing a little flux into the wire and in the lug then solder them. That way they'll almost never fail.They're good quality wire lugs at a decent price.

I like using copper lugs whenever possible. The crimp easily, holds like forever. And if you wanted, solders very well with a well shaped cup that easily pools solder. I use the copper lugs of various sizes on my RV. You can't beat them for function.If you haven't use them, you are missing out. They are the best. 5 stars for effectiveness.
